We are not in the world, the world is in us. The true reality is when we wake up from both and be what we already are, which is Pure Consciousness. Time and Space are just limitations of the mind. It is how your mind works.
Yes. Taoists I think, have said that the mental body (mind), and my psychosis voice (one I prefer not to call hallucination because it's real to me), this voice has reached me over hundreds of miles away. How do I know the distance? It's a consciousness thing, sensing that there is distance between you and the voice's origin, that much distance. Yet I heard the voice as clearly as if it was right next to me. The same with my "Tonglen meditation" experience. I formed a heart-connection with a woman who was at least 50 miles away from where I was, and I pretty clearly felt her emotions. The point of all this? That I agree with you, connection makes distance lose its meaning, the more you are tuned into that reality.
Magnificent video, Carl Jung’s intelligence is far broader than most people in this generation if only I could personally speak to the guy. May his speeches forever guide the people in need. One love

The unconscious mind moves incredibly fast, it does not have hunger or emotion, it simply thinks. The part that controls your dreams is amazing. You can create new words, beings, and creatures, all not on purpose, imagine sending a math question through your dream, your mind could figure it out in less than a second
“Less than a second” is perceptual. And to assume that your unconscious will solve a problem on your mind because you think it can, would be incredible.
This is so deep when he says “you become a man whose right hand does not know what his left hand is doing...” if you understand how much dissociation is so common among human.
When analyzing the subconscious however, one must use their consciousness to describe the subconscious. This is where errors could happen in interpretation. Truth can be misguided or misinterpreted.

Last night I dreamed that I was in a nearly packed auditorium. One person was about to give a speech. Me and some others were standing on the stage and were told we would field some questions after the speech. I was assigned to answer the questions about psychology then I climbed up to my seat way in the back row. On my way up I had some strange verbal altercation with two young ladies in the row in front of me. Also, there was a guy that could not know the speech's content before the speech, so we would have to keep it a secret or he was probably going to murder us. I knew some of the people in the dream but I think their actual identities were not significant to the dream's meaning. I once heard that dream people are all persons the dreamer has crossed paths with at some point in life because the subconscious cannot conjure up a physical human avatar that is not stored somewhere in the memory. I think sometimes identities in dreams are significant, but other times a person who has been on your mind arbitrarily serves as an 'actor' in the dream. What do you think?
You might be right I have no idea and no education in the analysis/study of dreams. Interesting though, I heard once that the sub-conscious records everything and maybe that correlates with the 'dream actors' theory.
This is an incredible clip to have access to, thank you. I am curious to know if anybody out there can give me some guidance. I experienced prolonged trauma from my Dad throughout the first ten years of my life. My memory of my own life experiences is quite poor, my power of recall is blocked. As such, I struggle to remember my dreams when I wake up. From the moment I wake up, I sometimes draw a blank. More recently though, I am becoming more conscious within the dreams, and so when I wake up I am able to write them down. Although, another detail to mention is that I do not have access to my mind's eye, that is to say, when I close my eyes it is completely black - I am currently unable to conjure up any images. I'd like to know if this is blocking my access to my unconscious mind? And what can I do to strengthen my dream memory?

Once I dreamt the scarab beetle ... scarab was being beaten into wall so violently by some to me familiar people who shaped my personality...scarab came out of his shell where he was kept for years .. he was like reborned and he fly away .. but all of sudden he appeared in front of my face and get into me like into my mind .. then I woke up and I searched the scarab beetle dreaming meaning and I found out a shocking truth that it represents abused integrity and a great amount of anxiety up in my conciousness or sub... i’m not sure ... all I can say is that dreams are for sure connected with subconcious and they guide as to freedom
Jung started this approach; the dreams were the way for the patient to discover the root of his thinking and behavior problem. In your case, as soon as you wake up, you need to keep a log; write as much as you can remember. Do this for every dream you can remember; then take time to go over these notes. You will be able to figure the root of your negative thoughts. There is something that you need to face.
Guys, my friend sent me this video because he records his dreams when he wakes up and has a strong opinion that dreams carry some kind of message. I want to know, from what Carl Jung says in this video about dreams, what do you take from it? What use is this to me who doesn't quite understand his message?
Well, I do too record and write down my dream as quickly as I can so as to not forget and to jot down everything I can remember so that I may learn more about what really lurks underneath what I know.. Dreams serve as reflections of our minds.. You may learn a lot about what you don't know or what you don't know you know.. That's what's so great about dreams, my friend. Truly yours, a stranger
This is what I discovered about MY dreams: Cougar/lioness hunting me = a older women trying to seduce me Rottweilers/pitbulls attacking me = someone is hostile towards me Living in my home or someone trying to burglarize my home = someone is messing with my heart or playing with my feelings Drowning in the ocean or tsunami 🌊 = overwhelming emotions or immense stress Diving deep into the abyss = discovering a part of my personally that was repressed or hidden from me. Volcanic eruption/nuclear power plant/Kratos in rage mode = suppresed anger Psychopath chasing after me = Literally someone is psychopathic and they are after me Right now I am having dreams about sharks and not exactly sure what they mean. But I think that sharks may symbolize women to me. So far, all my dreams about sharks have triggered by women. I was involved with a lesbian woman that only wanted me for U.S. papers and that's where the shark dreams began. In my dream, a big shark was chaising after me, I asked a fisherman what bait and hook he used, but I never caught the shark. Relationship ended. Then I got involved with a straight but younger woman and she appeared as a little shark trying to eat me but it couldn't because I was too big and it was too little. The relationship ended but I think we both fell for each other. In my dream, I hooked a little shark but in the process of reeling it in, I was entangled by the fishing line. I think that this dream means that, yes, I got her hooked on me but I also got emotionally entangled with her. I think that my dream was also trying to tell me that it was a shark 🦈 and that I should not have any romantic feelings towards a shark even if it is cute and little. In real life, she may be cute and may be relatively harmless, but she is still a predator. I don't know but that's what I got from my dreams.
I am convinced Mr Jung is a shaman mystic priest might as well just add the warlord in there if he wanted to amazing modern neuroscientists repeat with different words what he said back then but only because modern technology has a loud research to come to those words to be shared as discoveries he figured all this out by himself amazing
I think we can analyze our dreams, and upon analysis, if we "see the bigger picture" we can then demonstrate moral quality by deciding whether or not to apply these "bigger picture" realizations to our lives. They might act as guidance in navigating through our own personal strengths and weaknesses, I think.
That is a very difficult question to answer. I can't give you a straight answer I just know some people can dream of the future, some people can control their dreams and even interact with characters in their dreams. I myself have dreamed of being chased by someone with a knife and I wasn't just a spectator of the dream-like usual on the occasion that I dream, I was actually controlling myself, I was running and I hid under a car. I don't recall being able to interact with the person that had a knife or being able to control my dream in a way that is I decide whats going on in the dream. For example, I couldn't decide that instead of me being chased by a knife I am treasure hunting or whatever. So back to your question I don't think we can control the setting of our dream (like whether our significant other comes to us in our dream or not) I just think that we can spectate and play our parts. Maybe the setting is the manifestation of our unconscious? I am not entirely sure but good question.
We are not in the world, the world is in us. The true reality is when we wake up from both and be what we already are, which is Pure Consciousness. Time and Space are just limitations of the mind. It is how your mind works.
