What a excellent job of explaining and showing what I need to do to my 65. Thank you sir! I do wish you would have shown the process of bench bledding on the truck. No matter, great video!

here is a nice video showing how to bleed the master cylinder. It shows bleeding off the vehicle, but as long as the master cylinder is level it can be done the same way on the vehicle. It uses the CPP bleed kit CPP-BK which has the tubes, port adapter for the tubes and clips to hold the tubes. The syringe is available separately CP0108. Both inexpensive.

I have same brake system that you have. I want to do a brake fluid flush to replace old brake fluid. When removing old fluid from reservoir and replacing with new do I need to put reservoir cap with holder clips back on before I start holding brakes and opening brake line? Or can I leave cap off to be able to see fluid reservoir level? Or does it matter. Thanks for making very informative video

vehicle is not moving so do not need to put clips on and off. I put the lid on while going under the vehicle to bleed each wheel, and took the lid off after each wheel to inspect and add fluid. Not really necessary but have to put the lid somewhere and brake fluid is corrosive to paint, etc. Back in place without the clips on seems as good a place as any. Also, lid keeps any debris from falling into the reservoir.

Did this kit bolt right up to the firewall or was there a need to drill holes? Classic parts has this kit. I order a different kit from LMC truck and there were no instructions at all. Further, the kit didn't appear to fit on the firewall.

Holes are required. Here is the link to the CPP instructions. Hopefully, they will help you with the LMC kit

      PS
These instructions are for 60 to 62 (page 1), 60 to 62 with hydraulic clutch (page 2), and 63 to 66 (page 3). Make sure you refer to the correct instructions.

I did my front disc conversion , after bleeding master cylinder and brakes , my pedal goes all the way yo the floor ??

Check to see if you still have fluid in the master cylinder. When bleeding brakes have to keep filling chamber.

@@ron12april right angle drill? I can't see how I could get a drill up in there, but I have a manual with a clutch pedal in the way.

@bikeguy0 I have manual too. Drill from gas pedal side.

@@ron12april thx. Just realized it was the aftermarket AC box that was totally blocking being able to do that. Just removed it and now it seems like a really dumb question to ask as there is plenty of room to drill 😉
