Hello people, recently i bought cocobrick(cocopeat) from amazon ,i have provided detailed review ,about how to use, is the coco brick good or not?about this in the below video. Feel free to watch the video ♥️ Thanks 👍 Link :th-cam.com/video/GEFXPkhuReA/w-d-xo.html
Thank you for the information about the salt. I didn't know that. Just a tip to anyone who lives in a windy area. When sun-drying it cover it with a piece of fine netting and weight it down around the edges.... Otherwise it is going to be blown all over the place and you are going to have to vacuum it up or start all over again 😉. On the other hand, it doesn't have to be bone dry to use it. Just make sure of a good rinse and that you give it a good squeeze to get as much water out as possible. Any salt left after squeezing will not be removed by drying. If you make too much you can store it (bone dry or still damp) in a bag made from some sort of fine netting - I use an old pillow case and it works fine. Just as long as the material is able to breath. As to netting to cover it with when sun-drying, I used a bit of tulle (the stuff wedding veils are made from) that I picked up from a remnant store for next to nothing.
I can only time & again appreciate for your videos demonstating basic things one should follow, to become plant grower & enjoying every moment of its growth.
Nobody has told about salt content.just today I got a a bundle of cocapeat and tomorrow I would have used it as it is there by all my plants would have vanished.thanks once again I am from Bangalore
I have never seen anyone on youtube explaining everything in such a correct and informative way. The way you are explaining in amazing. No one else does this👍👍👍👌
Often, people are not aware of basic things like this. It is appreciable that you have covered such a topic. I would further appreciate if you cover topics like use of charcoal, Proper use of Chemical fertilizers like DAP, Urea, Super Phosphate and NPK etc. Let me wish that your honesty and our trust will turn the channel to be used as encyclopedia of gardening. Thanks
This topic (washing cocopeat before using it) should be covered in all of the beginner gardening videos. At least it should be mentioned when cocopeat is one of the major ingredients used in the video. I am a beginner gardener and I've wasted almost 2 months trying to grow stuff in unwashed cocopeat. Either the plant just stops growing, or worse it slowly dies. And seed germination almost never happens 😑. At least I found out now after it was mentioned in an Amazon review. Edit: I'm saying this because in all of the videos I've watched about seed germination, soil mix, plant nutrients, or cocopeat itself, not one mentioned the washing process.
Exactly how do you keep your shirtsleeves so clean while mixing around all that cocohusk? Lol. This is definitely the most informative gardening channel.
Sir ,thank u fr making great helpul videos. your scientific and easy approach makes your videos fantastic.pls advice when coco peat is submerged,do only the floating coco husk is used,or the residue in bottom of water to needs t b used or do away with.
I have bought coco peat powder do I have to soak it in water again and dry it, it is black in colour. Last time I soaked a brick of coco peat and used it directly without washing will it destroy my plants. Please please let me know. I enjoy your videos on gardening. I grew healthy coriander as per instruction. Many Thanks . Rgds
Dear surja agrawal I am sooo much interested at your gardening tips and its very useful to us your explaination are good i request you to kindly explain me how to grow geranum flower
For growing seedlings, if I buy cocopeat powder, instead of a brick, do I still need to wash and soak it? I am a new learner, and your videos have been very helpful.
your videos are super, simple and easy to understand. Please indicate time or season in all your videos would be of great help for me to plan effectively !!
Sir your all the information is totally fundamental and systematic.. I here want to tell some facts about option of cocopeat. Cocopeat was difficult to get and also costly so I tried saw dust( लकड़ी का बुरादा) instead of cocopeat. Maney people told me saw dust causes nitrogen deficiency in soil but I have grown large number of seeds in saw dust, fungicide and compost mix. All seeds germinated well and grow to plant. Saw dust is everywhere available here from wood cutting factories. Cocopeat and saw dust both are same histologically as both are lignin made. Am also trying this year paddy husk after grinding in grinder. Paddy husk is also like cocopeat histologically and can give more aeration drainage to soil. What is your opinion about it. Please reply.
Very nice video.. When cocopeat mix with soil.. There is no need to buffer cocopeatwith calcium nitrate?? Or buffering is must for using it with hydroponic plants.. Plz clerify
Sir do we need to add garden soil for all the plantations that we do along with the coco peat ? Or can we just use vermicompost and coco peat ?.can this mixture be used for herbs too ?
Very good morning sir,i have used cocopeat in plants without washing but as explained by you it should have been washed,,do i need t give calcium to those plants where coco peat without washing was mixed.pls advice .
