Dude, if you ride the entire Empire State Trail, I would love to come along with you. I would do whatever I could to get my time free to make it happen.
Yes indeed. The flat position does become an issue on long rides, I often grip close on the inside of the bar in some downhill tucks, I’ve been looking at Farr Carbon aero bars, also thinking about inside bar hood position little stem grips. I plan on racing this bike next year and I’m trying to not add any more weight. Also looking at a carbon flat bar. Any suggestions?
@@TravelingThru222 I picked up some SQ Labs innerbarends 411 (the plastic ones not the carbon ones). Slot in-between the levers and the grips. Contoured for your hands and you can still reach the brakes when in them. I haven't had a chance to do any real long miles but been great on some mid-sized rides. Weight is negligible. My only carbon flatbar experience is a Whisky bar which I cracked, so probably wouldn't recommend that one.
Awesome, Thanks for the tips. Definitely picking up some innerbarends, Ive seen some peeps putting drop bars on this bike, (Lael Wilcox) but I think I'm rolling with a Flat bar. I have lots of modifications to do on The Epic. Ive been doing research and think I can still shave pounds off this thing. Looking forward to The SID shock. Really appreciate and value your insight.@@TheLankyCyclist

Did you get to see/hear the Bridge Music on the Mid Hudson Bridge?
I did not hear any music on the bridge.

Nice job coming first, send me your address, I’ll send you a sticker. travelingthru222@gmail.com
I want a sticker!
Are you still riding the Epic?
Nice work. You ever consider bar ends or aero bars or something for another hand position on the flat bars or is it not an issue for you?

Fun fact. My bachelor party’s last stop was @ 10:29 LOL
Ha, awesome.
White-colored clothing would make you more visible to drivers at a greater distance than dark-colored. Stay safe.
Yes it would.
