So Cycle World has reduced itself to using click bait style titles like "Don't buy this..!" "See this before...!". ???? It's not necessary for an established channel like this and turns me off. This just seemed to be a legitimate KLX review rather than what the title inferred, and as others posted didn't really tell us anything we didn't already know.

I wish they made the supermoto in that kawi green. I know I can just switch them but would’ve been a nice option

I agree. I got a 2023 in the neon green that was a year old with 4 miles on it, in the fall of '23. Got lucky. That periwinkle blue/grey or whatever it is for '24 just wasn't doing it for me. With a Kawasaki you just have to have some kind of green

Keep the street on the street and dirt on the dirt... You'd better take picture of that dual sport if you ride it on real trails. It's not going to look like it did when you're done.

Rims will be expensive. A set from a decent company like Warp9 will set you back like $1000. The other thing to consider is the steering geometry. The rake and trail is different for both bikes, so the handling may seem a little more squirrly on 17" rims. Other than that, you should be good to go.
      Cheers!

The people who would buy these bikes are not different types of people. I bought both and I ride them both.

I never really got the supermoto thing. A ride on an early ktm confirmed it. Then again I don't get dual sport either. Just give me an adventure bike please.

A trailbike is always a trailbike. Fit hard terrain knobbies. Put road wheels on, and it's just a useless trailbike. See how slow the 300 was on the canyon road. 😂 Just buy a road bike.

Did you notice the whole motorcycle footage is slowed down? It is not a reference for anything.
A supermoto has more agility than a road bike of similar displacement on the canyons because of its geometry and other factors. I have passed bigger bikes on slow and medium speed turns, and gave my friend a hard time on high speed ones.

I've had many road bikes. I just got the KLX 300SM and it is as fun if not more fun than all my street bikes when riding on back country and mountain twisties. Guys on Supermotos smoke other street bikes in the twisties particularly Tail of the Dragon and similar roads. IF you had actually ridden one you would know.
