You so gud at what u do,keep it up,some get pay weekly even, I am in NY and I have experience both pay and the weekly even better than bi-weekly in terms of tax wise 😆
There are nursing Accelerated programs which lasts from 12 months to 18 months. You just need a bachelors degree and finish your prerequisites ( anatomy and physiology 1&2, microbiology, Chemistry, statistics, nutrition, developmental psychology) and other general courses. The prerequisites depend on the school too. When you’re done with that and get admitted to an accelerated BSN program you can be a nurse as fast as 12 to 18 months.
I agree with this… nursing in UK is more like an apprenticeship.. anybody can do nursing in Uk. I was having a conversation with a friend that the way nursing is structured in the Uk, you don’t even need to be intelligent 😂 just be willing but this is not so in the US, you need to be academically sound to study nursing in the USA.
Daaaaang yes that's so true. You don't even have to be brilliant. I studied in the Philippines and got my degree there, and it's US standards. Then I come to the UK and I am blown away at how many nurses don't know 90% of the things we were taught in the Philippines. I feel like I've become dumb since coming here in the UK, my brain cells have been unused Processing my move to the USA, so excited
Where are you from? Let’s look at the life expectancies: US -75 yrs Ghana - 63 yrs Nigeria - 53 yrs Explain why the disparity? Do we live longer in the USA because it’s unsafe or violent? Make it make sense.
Tou are wrong about the UK and US nursing degrees. If one already has a bachelor's degree in another course, they can become a registered nurse by getting a 2 years masters degree in nursing in the UK. This is called pre registration nursing. In the United States however, a person with a bachelors degree in another course can become a registered nurse by doing the accelerated bsn. The accelerated bsn takes between 11 months to 2 years depending on the university. This means that becoming a, nurse as a second degree is actually faster in the US than the UK. Please do a proper research next time.
It’s not just 12 months. You have to do pre requisites before getting into the accelerated programs. You can’t just come with a degree in sociology and become a nurse in 12 months. Pre requisites takes Atleast 3 semester for basic biology, Aboto my and physiology 1and 2 and micro biology. These courses are sequential so you have to finish one before starting the other.
