However, Gravano was flexing his arms and dragging his feet about the legal transfer, so that he could keep the money as well as the club. He was hoping to scare the guy off (or at least make him disappear in a quiet way), but things got out of hand before any of those things could happen. This is pure speculation from my part, of course, but the signs are there.
