Some of my best memories of apple picking at eastmont orchards and snow sledding at Monmouth battle field. I’m so glad to hear when people seen that area of Jersey. • @danrowley6934
      @danrowley6934 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @?? Well, I'm 67 & this close to 75, it's a young age. My mother was 90 when she passed, dad 93. 75 is not old; unless you want it to be. Hell, the average man dies before 80. You could say 40 is old. Die at 70, 40 means hopefully you've got 30 yrs. left. I was ---i out of luck & was forced to retire at 56. I use a walking stick (actually a mop handle) to keep me from falling. Canes are stupid & too short. I lifted furniture into this place put away tons of stuff when I moved in 10 yrs. ago. I'm in pain 24/7 365 days a yrs. Take 4 different types of pain pills. They really don't work & Opioids make you Stump Stupid. My pain is annoying, nothing more. If you let pain hold you back, it'll do so & for that you'll be a lost soul. This information is not enough to put under a fingernail but I'm not into writing a book today.

    • @danrowley6934

      @?? Keep Chuggin' along. Whatever you're suffering from, a cure a better way (healthier) of living could be right around the corner. You never give up. Remember, America is not the only country with researchers coming up with new meds & treatments. Most countries don't have the amount of red tape we do. The FDA is a pain in the ass. From where I live to Canada is 5 min. Many drugs are available there & not here. Eventually will 6 mos down the road if we're lucky.

    I spent my whole life at a racetrack. It was he best time of my life. Feeding horses, training horses, washing horses, etc,.....I loved every moment of it.
    And in the summer time on a beautiful breezy sunny day, a whiff of horse manure, jogging horses around the track, you forget about other things in life, and you focus your attention on these beautiful race horses that you're jogging, what more can anyone ask for in life than being content while living in the moment, and that moment lasted for for 40 years.
    I can surely feel what Sammy was feeling when he had his farm, and then, when he lost his farm.

    I loved this video. ❤ There is something so heartbreaking about losing your family farm. My dad and his 5 siblings grew up in Upstate New York on a 75 acre farm. That was in the 1920's. They had a main house, bungalows for summer vacationers, a pool, a barn with horses and cows. Lots of cats and dogs running around. Their garage across the road held a few cars and trucks. The Birch trees were stunning. My Dad always cried when we visited the Farm which they had lost. He was the youngest and the oldest sibling let it go into foreclosure. I wish that i could have grown up there. 🐎🐎

    I hope you read this Sammy. My father was a working man. We had very little, my mothers side had some $ they had a house and property on Long Island. When I was a kid it was like paradise. The trees, grass, walk on the roads there was hardly no cars. Where I come from, I thought Queens was the country, Brooklyn was like the suburbs, so when we went to this house it was like another world. Long story short, you said these things in your video and it struck a feeling in me, Italians are simple people, we don't wanna bother nobody, we love what we have and when you said your wife cried I felt it. Outta all the stories and experiences you've put out this one rings home with me. Yeah, LCN was around and those stories are raw, and truth is stranger than fiction. So people gravitate to that, but to me, this story is 1000X better than any underworld activity because it's culture, Italian family togetherness. I felt it. Peace from NYC.

    "I didn't kill anybody on the farm" is one of the best endorsements of farm life ever.

    The day they tore down Tiger Stadium in Detroit is the day My Heart was ripped out of my Chest. The place where the Family could gather and set aside arguments and petty B.S. and for an afternoon or Evening and enjoy each other and Our love of our City and its People. The smell of that Hollowed ground brought our community together- there were no people of color or social standing, just fans who were blue and orange. Thank You Sammy for Sharing a piece of Your Hallowed Ground with us, to see the Family side of You and the pride of not spoiling that Farm with the Business side of Your life.
