We have the old parachute pulls on our sofa. Lazyboy sent us a new plastic type pull cord for them. Unfortunately " Lazy boy" lived up to its name and sent us shit copies of dark instructions that I can't see a single picture in. So a video on replacing old parachute with a newest version would be immensely helpful.
My chair has an arm so how do you get to this part between the seat cushion and the arm? Wish this was realistic…like the chair actually is with an arm.
The new chords are so much better. Our son is brutal on his so his was the first to fail. The chords come in packs of two, so when mine failed I had the part already at my house. Thanks for the video. I had a service tech do the first one (took him like 2 mins, haha) but I've done the second one on my own.
This Video is awesome! This is our exact La-Z-Boy recliner, and parachute cable which frayed and broke. Our problem though is getting the cable in Canada? How can I obtain that cable? Thank you!
I have been searching for help with my sofa and this handle. I'm out of Dallas and the service department sent me a replacement that looks nothing like the original pull handle and cord. They didn't give me any instructions but told me to look for a youtube video. Do you have any info on maybe a "new" style of the pull handle that would help?
Did you ever figure this out? I’m in the same boat. I am encouraged to see the Orlando La-Z-Boy doing these videos but the company as a whole just really craps the bed when it comes to customer service/caring for their customers.
I was able to get a lazyboy rep to send me the repair manual as a PDF: drive.google.com/file/d/12hLwetEoXKlR1uc2BAtXNE0oSAYmqCa9/view I hope this is helpful to everyone. I am not handy but I was able to install it. It does seem that the instructions miss a step around step 3 of the install where you will need to install one of the provided screws in the back of the new assembly. Also, they did not provide the break over in step 11 of the install. Sadly, to install this you need to disassemble the entire chair. I just took a deep breath and did it. I was done in an hour, and I’m not mister fix it. Good luck all!
