For Lot 2...it will be much easier..begining with concrete castings for the pier and pier caps and then they move quickly to laying of the superstructure concrete slab and wearing surface...all this can be done in under 18 months...the next thing that also takes time is beautification works for centenary park...thats why its vital they start relatively same time with main project construction works.
Usually a ptoject entails many details..u may not see them like they are moving fast but trust me the biggest work is done. Probably at 93%.. what you are seeing are final beautification works, safety and signalisation systems...This doesn't mean the project isn't ready for use..thats why they opened it for traffic.
That is a massive project, very beautiful indeed, waiting to see when the green trees and grass are grown. It will look nice an iconic landmark of Kampala city . But we need law enforcers to trim the reckless boda boda riders
🤣🤣 they actually gave the project to us…that is why we use it now. Not fully complete but accessible and being used …so i think that is what they meant ….im so glad they have started putting guard rails on the walkways and now atleast they wont have people crossing everywhere yet there are demarcations….i hope KCCA learns from this and applies it elsewhere
@@ivanatuhairwe he said kampala is the FACE of uganda WHERE VISITORS FIRST REACH!! Meaning via Entebbe! Where did he say KAMPALA OWNS UGANDA?! Don’t you see how you’re reflecting your entitlement? Did he say people in Kampala own Uganda?
Lot 2 slated in August..for preparatory works of shifting utility lines...but by 2025 it should be taking shape... Final designs were out and right of way secured. Lot 2 will probably be a game changer.
Good though we neeed the enforcers in government to always push those foolish people to speed up the projects they ashame museveni government, we still need such roads to in kampala to uplift museveni government if not it will be ashame

That junction requires traffic signals otherwise mulago bone and joint center will be the busiest department in the hospital. It's also better to roof the flyover in case of heavy rain people can save themselves and enough security must be deployed to arrest wrongdoers
They're working on the traffic lights, I don't think they'll roof the footbridge🙌 There's enough security yesterday I passed by there's always enough police and army
I can’t understand why the workers leave bricks scattered all over the place. They are sloppy/incompetent and URA Site Engineers are not supervising these contractors. In other countries road work takes place 24hrs a day. Those pavement blocks would have been installed with 1 week.
i stay in Nsambya, and when you say the works have been slow, bro i don't get it. check the records, this has been uganda's fastest project. just imagine, with all the traffic, these guys have done it.
It is confusing to see some manual tasks not being worked on while you have millions of unemployed people in Kampala. How can the project management not try to utilise such a resource to clean up the city especially during the weekend. The city could be washed clean, drain channels cleared dust and rubbish collected and put away.If this is not lack of leadership or political guidance then I cannot understand our motherland.
You can as well Watch

Kampala is the face of uganda wherre all visitors first reach and the face of museveni government
No one owns Uganda it's ours all

The army can also be used as it’s not actively engaged in wars internally.
I van do for us roads around namboole stadium so that we can attract the attention of those responsible afcon is coming

They forgot the traffic lights
Its still under construction
