  • In today's episode of PhotoKitchen we talk about the necessary tools or gear that every photographer/filmaker needs on location or set.
We also talk about the concept of a "grip bag", and what should go in it, as you build your set of tools, tapes, clamps, pens, and gloves for your work as a photographer and/or filmmaker.

You covered a lot on the topic of gaff tape within this video, but perhaps a video on gaff tape and or sandbags would be interesting and informative.

Thx adding the outlet tester to my list :-) may I suggest putting tape and clamps on closed strings ?

Thanks for watching and that is a great suggestion. I didn't mention that enough in the video, but I don't do that because I don't use them that much on a shoot. At this moment, I usually reach into the back, grab a few clamps for a backdrop, some tape for that backdrop, and that is about it. I just don't have productions that need a lot of tape and clamps, at the moment, but when I do, I will for sure do that.
