No, becoming an accomplice to a thief and trying to live on the run while pregnant would be stupid. The employees already have a feeling she and Jake Gyllrnhal are co-conspirators. If Jeffiner Anniston leaves all of a sudden, it’d probably take about 30 minutes before they get busted and hauled off to prison. Her husband can ID the car, the place he worked has all of his information; it’d be pure retardation
I am angry at Justine for making the choices she did. As the film says, ever the good girl. still, why? she had nothing to lose. I'm not sure if Holden was mentally unstable like she brought herself to believe; couldnt he just be a very depressed and immature person who desperately didnt want to lose the chance to have a new life with the only person whom (he thought) understands him? I just...I'm sorry, I side with Holden here.
I know it's a ten year late response, I just watched the movie again after 20 years. And I agree with you, the title was supposed to be sarcastic I guess, she's everything but a good girl, portrays herself as a victim, but she's not, she could have left her husband and leave by herself anywhere and start over. Instead she slept with that poor kid, who was a gentle soul, if she hadn't done it he could have stayed alive and got his life back on track. She slept with her husbands best friend. Actually caused two deaths. Had another's man child. And in the end she's happy, got what she wanted, a kid, and kept her husband, doesn't lose night of a sleep about anything she did. It's funny when I was 17 I felt bad for, after I had my share of experience with people like Justine, I wouldn't wish it upon my worst enemy.
"How it all came down to this, only the devil knows". Haha! Shit, I think we've all been there. Tragic as it happens but kinda funny when we look back....
no matter where she would have turned at the traffic light it would have been wrong. she messed up her and others' life already because of disgusting cowardice
i dont know did i watch this movie as a kid, i love watching movies, i always love that but what would 16 year old kid think about this movie, i wonder, probably not so many things, and even those few things would be wrong thinking, just like these comments down there to understand this and many other movies like this you must be at least an adult, experienced and smart and maybe even that wouldnt be enough, you must think hard and smart to reach what this movie wish to say so, kids please stop commenting about this movie, you know nothing, i knew nothing too which is also a story in this movie, that young man who was actually young kid inside killed himself because he knew nothing as a kid your thoughts are skyrocketing all over the place, you wish to eat that, you wish to drink this, you wish to kiss your neighbours wife, your sister, your best friends girl, worker at the store but when you are an adult with skyrocketing thoughts and desires, then you are a big problem for everybody else because you will not respect and understand other people and their dreams as you could clearly see, all that young man with young boys brain wanted from Justine was childish love, kisses and hugs, he was too much child in heart to fulfil her dreams and all she wanted was love, but instead of mature love that mostly men could give you she ended with a young man acting like a boy who knows nothing i dont blame either, there is much more to this story than what i said if you pay close attention you would see that both are not to blame and that both were looking for unique type of happiness they found a piece of that unique happiness in each other, at the end it wasnt what they looking for but they gave all for it, they gave all for that piece of happiness she gave her peace and life without shame and troubles and he gave his life so the biggest question this movie bring is what you would give then if you found that happiness in all its form not just one piece ? if you would give your life and nights without nightmares for just one piece, then you realize how much meaning to every of us true happiness represent yeah its more than life or anything you can think of and that is the real message of this story !
likeeeee. she could've chosen the more stable life (stay with her husband) but did she really have to rat him out? I think had I not been pregnant I would've went with holden but you gotta think of the baby in that situation and that wouldn't have been the best life for a child (mentally unstable father) anyway, how does the movie end? also I do feel bad for her husband. he's so sweet and innocent. and obviously a little slow with connecting the dots. and his friend is a POS. They think it's Holdens baby but how do they know it's not the husband's friends baby.
The story of the film in real life. "Man Killed Wife, 6-Year-Old Girl Over Paternity Results" Michael Barbar, 55, who helped raise the child since birth, became suspicious about her paternity after discovering his wife had three separate affairs. He pulled Tamara out of school and swabbed her cheek for a DNA sample while eating at a McDonald's. When the paternity test showed the child was not his, Barbar spent eight days plotting the crime. Barbar first strangled his wife with a computer cord as she was handcuffed and naked on the floor, prosecutors said, then went to Tamara's room and tried to strangle her as she slept. When she struggled, Barbar bashed her head into the bedpost as many as 20 times, crushing her skull. Barbar was planning to kill his wife's lover in Texas and flee to Lebanon but was stopped by police in New Mexico after authorities tracked his cellphone signal.
I love how the desert and road is described as a beautiful never ending nothing . One of the best lines
The sad part is the thought of her cheating didn’t even cross his mind.
John C Reilly is underrated
i'm sorry but when justine chose to rat him out i was thinking "ugh...you idiot".
wasn't it his baby, too?!
lol "don't steal and don't be disturbed".
That part made me fall out 🤣
Rachel would never ever choose that stupid store over Holden lol

"i thought we were gonna get a day to grieve and go to the movies" lol.this part was so sad, holden was good to justine but just unbalanced
Telling a doc that he doesn't know shit is funny

I loved Jake Gyllenhaal in this movie
why did she marry that dude?
What happened to part 3 & 6 ? 🙁
Eyyyy all about them dallas cowboys mayne.!!! 🙌
This movie is a realistic way of showing how a decent person becones immoral. You dont like your life? Move on, dont include ppl in your misery.
Where’s the next part?
no matter where she would have turned at the traffic light it would have been wrong. she messed up her and others' life already because of disgusting cowardice
i dont know did i watch this movie as a kid, i love watching movies, i always love that
but what would 16 year old kid think about this movie, i wonder, probably not so many things, and even those few things would be wrong thinking, just like these comments down there
to understand this and many other movies like this you must be at least an adult, experienced and smart
and maybe even that wouldnt be enough, you must think hard and smart to reach what this movie wish to say
so, kids please stop commenting about this movie, you know nothing, i knew nothing too
which is also a story in this movie, that young man who was actually young kid inside killed himself because he knew nothing
as a kid your thoughts are skyrocketing all over the place, you wish to eat that, you wish to drink this, you wish to kiss your neighbours wife, your sister, your best friends girl, worker at the store
but when you are an adult with skyrocketing thoughts and desires, then you are a big problem for everybody else
because you will not respect and understand other people and their dreams
as you could clearly see, all that young man with young boys brain wanted from Justine was childish love, kisses and hugs, he was too much child in heart to fulfil her dreams
and all she wanted was love, but instead of mature love that mostly men could give you
she ended with a young man acting like a boy who knows nothing
i dont blame either, there is much more to this story than what i said
if you pay close attention you would see that both are not to blame and that both were looking for unique type of happiness
they found a piece of that unique happiness in each other, at the end it wasnt what they looking for
but they gave all for it, they gave all for that piece of happiness
she gave her peace and life without shame and troubles
and he gave his life
so the biggest question this movie bring is
what you would give then if you found that happiness in all its form not just one piece ?
if you would give your life and nights without nightmares for just one piece, then you realize how much meaning to every of us true happiness represent
yeah
its more than life or anything you can think of
and that is the real message of this story !
Beautifully said
So where is part 10 & 11?

Phil's "best friend" literally raped his wife.
@@andreagunnarsdottir9052 How if she let him?
That’s not rape.
