This is England, the movie and the series, is spot on ! It’s exactly how it was back then. Hanging with yer mates, throwing back pints and having a laugh, and inevitably someone gets their nickers in a twist and having a rowe but always staying friends. And there was always a Woody ! Absolutely I miss it kids nowadays sitting on their ass's playing video games and watching TV all day everyday. I was never in come rain or shine me and me mates were put doing something or other. Then you'd get grounded and so you'd uncharacteristically do the dishes or other chores just so your mam would let you out early 😉 I miss old England before mass migration etc all the best 👍
As far as I know, if u live in the US, this is literally the only way to see this. So thank you, maybe one of the best shows ever made that no one knows exists. Although every now and again ya meet someone who HAS seen it, and ya get to joke about the subtitles on youtube.

The 90's feels like a millions years ago compared to these days, I'm 44 and the 80's and 90's was the best era, everything was at a slower pace and life was far easier, a fight was a fight not a stabbing, movies were brilliant, music was on form and people were happier, tech has progressed way to fast for us to deal with and we have lost our way

A very large proportion of us couldn't stand the queen, or her son, or the rest of them. The characters in this are probably supposed to feel that way too. Glad you like it though, it's one of my favourite series.

One of the best series ever made in this country. Near perfect. IMO it gets a little contrived in some of the latter tear-jerky scenes, but even those are done brilliantly, just were not needed. however, one of my all-time favourites and so nice to have so many rich characters
I just now noticed Harvey right before the Shawn's little scrap with Harrison. I love how he jumps right into action but the best part is the smirk / grin on his face. Fuckin' priceless.
He probably thinks back to his & Shauns scrap when they were in school in 83 (first film). I think originally Harvey was to carry on as the bully, like Flip in 86 & Pukey was meant to be in Harveys position here but the actor (Jack O'Connel) was busy so they changed things over.

Being young in England seems so much more interesting that being young in the US. I was around the same age as Shaun in 1990 and had no where near that amount of stuff happen.
The Flip character is very funny. When he and his cavalry of douche bag friends ride in on their Yamaha motorcycles, in their matching “ Body Break” track suits. I wheezed 😂😂😂
