People seem to remember Barnabas from the post 1795 episodes. Barnabas was pretty evil in the beginning. I remember being surprised when I watched early episodes in syndication. Barnabas terrorizing Maggie, his threats and plans to murder Julia and his enslavement of Carolyn. This wasn't the Barnabas I remembered from 1968-1971
Nothing to hate about any of the scenes. The scene with Carolyn and the aging Barnabas was painful. I cannot hate, it, though because it's an important part for this part of the story. Also painful to see was Dr. Hoffman offering to submit to the bite as a way to bring Barnabas back from deterioration. She is in a real moment of weakness. Not even that would make him love her.
Hi Emily. My hate comment here reflects what I hear from viewers who think that the old Barnabas scene is too creepy. I keep it in my work because I feel that it is part of the history of the show.
On the contrary, I think Barnabas refused Julia's offer because he DOES love her. But not in the same way he loves Vicki, more like the way he loves his sister.
