Honestly, as hilarious as these are they'd actually be perfect for customization - The Momo Porsche "FAST" knockoff would be particularly good!
You'd pay more for those wheels then the entire casting
I can’t imagine why anyone would want to copy that line, around here Team Transports are the biggest peg warmers in the history of diecast.
But think about it, they're usually peg warmers because they're expensive. For $3, they might be passable

@@Bob-Jenkins Pegs are the metal rods where they hang the cars for display. Peg warmers means models that stay on the pegs forever, nobody buys them.

I would buy so many of these if they were available near me They would be awesome for making my own custom transports. You can't buy 3D printed transport beds for $3

I suppose you are correct. There are tons of these available on the internet for the store price of $2.99, no reseller markup, and no additional shipping fee that is more than twice the original store price. Any of those destroy the price point that makes these knockoffs attractive in the first place. If you could shoot me a couple of the links where you are finding these bargains on the internet, I would be forever in your debt.

$3.00 USD, I'm not complaining!! Regarding the absence of the circular moulding mark on the roof of the $3.00 "Momo" truck. Hot Wheels do take note and do likewise!!!!!!! If a rip-off can do it then why can't "HW's?? Nothing annoys me more than paying good money for premium HW's products that silly looking circular indentation on the roof!! Thanks for showing these three alternative products DJK. If they find their way to my part of the world I won't hesitate to grab all three!!!!!

I live in russia, and since mattel left our country, there are about 10 or so knockoff brands who try to copy everything from HotWheels, our version of team transport even has DAVAN decails instead of advan and MCMC instead of momo
Anyways, we never could buy team transport in russian shops, but we had some premiums, at least. Now we have davan and mcmc, thanks to China, lol
All of the knockoffs are horrible, to say the least. This exact one from the video is the best example, in fact

Sometimes the same factories will make both legitimate issues and knock offs. This why they look so similar.
RAB COLLECTS ....... the factories run 24/7 and after they have finished making hotwheels they will make more of the same with different logos and cheaper materials.........it happens with everything thats made in china not just hotwheels........most factories produce 3 types of quality.

It's weird that they held back at including the Advan, Momo and Snake wordage. I mean, they were already in danger for stealing Hot Wheels' intellectual property (car, truck, and packaging) - why not go all the way and steal the names as well?
They can only sue if it's a direct copy or they use the branding name. Lol
Copy right laws. They can use the image but not the name. Not without getting sued anyway.
Their lawyer told them they could get away with this, but not that.
I work at menards. I bought two of each once I found them. the one that drew me to them was the knock off Momo racing truck. I let them know about it. If anyone is curious, I can find the actual vendor for these cars. it was some OEM die cast company that makes other low volume toys. I thought I had a picture of their site. I'm interested if they are going to release any others soon. I'm just amused it has Menards who imported them and not the actual vendor.

Someone posted these on Reddit today, I thought the picture was taken in a completely different country where this type of counterfeit is common, LOL, I cannot believe Menards was carrying this.
They actually look pretty good for knock-off. If I had a Maynards close by, I'd grab them for sure! I have also heard they have 1/64 scale lighted buildings as well there.
I reckon these are made by Denver Die-cast, which is Menard's own die-cast line. They don't necessarily have the greatest quality but they generally have some nice details.

I remember hearing that Wal-Mart actually took their business model from Menards. Not too shabby.
It's funny how on the knock-off "Advan" set, they didn't manage to get the stripe colors to come even close to matching on the two vehicles!
The wheels on the knock-off trucks are perfect for... well, the trucks.

1:16 I don’t know why, but I like that even more than the hot wheels one!!!!! 😮 But don’t be surprised, I’ll tell u why: Bc I’ve always wanted to take hot wheels apart to customize them (giving them new bodies and detailing), but can’t bc of the rivets. (and I love hot wheels, I’ve been collecting them since I was 2 or 4. MUSTVE BEEN PRETTY MATURE AS A TODDLER!!! 😅)

The Hot Wheels version is all metal, better paint quality, better overall quality, better two piece wheels, better packaging. Plus, Hot Wheels has to pay for licensing, R&D for the toolings, artists who do the graphics and card art, among other things. The only thing that knockoff company had to do was copy everything that Hot Wheels had already done. So no, you're not just paying for the name

Just picked up 4 of the black one . and one yellow one , i found them last week and for the price they arent bad for wheel harvesting from the cars but i think Denver Diecast has done a pretty good job getting the black one close . i make little stores from boxes and once in a while they tirn out pretty well and go with my dollar store houses whitch also mat h up to the 1:64 scale diecast i get the vehicles where i can lol

Local shops in my region are selling "HOT WHEEL" which have packaging almost identical to authentic HOT WHEELS and the models are very similar too but at a much reduced price. It is quite likely that a lot of people think they are buying the real thing.

This is crazy. The knock of red truck is better than the hot wheels when it comes to the bed. The knock of does not have the holes for the lift gate on the back. Thank you for sharing.
The fake funnie car is supposed to be the Duster which would have been Tom McEwen red car, like you said.
I actually kind of prefer the wheels on the knockoff version of ADVAN transporter over those on the on-brand Hot Wheels since the bootleg wheels look like proper truck wheels.
I kind of regret not picking up at least a couple of the first wave of Team Transport (especially the Volkswagen Transport & Porsche combo), it's just there was kind of a price shock at first that took me a while to get used to, since it was like $16 Canadian plus tax, and that was before pandemic era inflation. The first one I actually bought was the MOMO Porsche set and then I didn't buy another one for the best part of a year.
And they may not be Real Riders, the tires do come off the rim as one sort of rubber like tire.
Those first waves all would be at least a 300% return on your investment at this point, with the ADVAN Skyline being closer to 600%....
@@KyleKnoblauch What they might be worth in the future doesn't put money in my wallet when they're actually still in stores. I've opened every Team Transport that I have bought anyway, thus ruining their "investment" value.
@@SteveBrandon thusly why I have doubles of all the ones that are deemed valuable on the second hand market, one to open, and one to keep on the card, also, I never plan on selling any of my collection, but it's nice to know the money is there if an unfortunate emergency arises

I think those are cool, definitely playable. Kids would not care if they were conceptually the same as a Hot Wheels. Kids just want to play!. 3 or 4 of those for the price of one hot wheels set...
I actually lowkey like the knockoff better than the actual Hotwheels….like….I think the wheels on them and lack of decals looks better💀

You know, with the hot wheels brand not found in store due to the resellers, any collector should be happy to finds these if you want team transports in their collection.

Lol, I've got doubles of the first 11 Team Transports, one each open on display and one each still on the card, I have no intention of selling any of them, but it is kind of nice to know that I can sell any of them for $50-100 a pop depending on which model it is 🤣😂🤣

I have all 3 of them, but mine have much more details printed. For example MOMO one has logo printed, but it says MCMC instead. Davan instead of Advan. And Plymouth one seems to have the most detailed tampo while yours is almost blank. I bought them in Poland for around $3.50/piece.
I'd buy them $2.99 even for parts wheels the rear bed, but they wont make it here, as not licensed awesome share, wonder if there online??😏 Cheers 🇦🇺🇳🇿🤝🇺🇸🇺🇸😎👍✌

Dang I have a Menards near me, I only been in it once, I remember sections being marked with neon lights, it was pretty cool. Never seen a diecast bin in it though in the one time I was there..

They are made by Maisto, these ones at Menards have been downsized even more than the Maisto models. With no names on them. Maisto actually has a couple cheapo and premium lines where every casting looks just like a Hot Wheels copyrighted casting. Including Bone Shaker, purple passion and the 55 Nomads. Just giving them different names. An these are sold at Walmarts and Dollar Tree and smaller local grocery stores.
Nah, I don't think Maisto wants the smoke that Mattel would hit them with for copyright infringement. Given how Mattel successfully sued Bratz for infringement on Barbie I'm experiencing a cease and desist to be forthcoming. I'd be really surprised to find Maisto behind this.

But Maisto has been pumping these out for 4 years now and now have premium lines out that are cheaper and honestly I think are better than Hot Wheels premium. Not these transporters lol. But cars are. And even knowing they're coping Hot Wheels fantasy cars when it's a Vette Chevy truck ,55 or 57 Chevy and a Dodge Challenger. They have permission from Mopar and GM. Even having permission from Ferrari and Mattel keeps losing Ferrari's permission. With permission to use from them and because the change the names of the cars that leaves Hot Wheels fantasy cars fair game.Hot Wheels started the same way in 68.

Gaslands, cyberpunk, and just upgrades with a better paint job. For 1/3 the price of Hot Wheels.
I like how they took the picture of the Scania truck and just blurred the Scania logo from the hood out of the picture and used it as card art, since it is in no way related to he trucks in the packages.
Another fun thing on the Porsche is the renaming of sponsors. Bilstein became Bilisten which is the swedish word for "the motorist" and also a name of a self serve chain of gas stations in Sweden. So they basically just swaped one infringement to another.

Good for customizing. Instead of chopping up a team transport you can grab a couple of these especially with them being as cheap as they are.
Bought the same three about 5 years ago. The Skyline and the truck used to have a Davan tampo on it, the Porsche had MCMC tampo, and yes the front wheels on the truck are wrong. and I forgot what tampo the Snake had.
Perfect for parents with kids. There dad's can have the real😀😀😀an there kids can have the knock off so they can be just like daddy😃😃😃🤗🤗🤗
I just returned a whole mess of those to Menards. I did switch out the wheels on the black Nissan carrier though, looks awesome.
