Hi there! I made the video showing exactly what I do to get lots of sprouts. Not familiar with the other channel you mention, but that’s great that you bought one (I still love mine!) Hope you enjoy it. 😀
Thank you for your very thorough explanation(s). It took me hours finding something on TH-cam to help me with all aspects, so I very much appreciate your walk through of this process with exact times and details.
I've been sprouting broccoli seeds in jars but I purchased these trays through the link on this post. They broccoli seeds give off sulfur as they grow and it will be easier to rinse them in the tray.
I have several types of sprouters, and the one you show is by far my favorite. So favorite, in fact, I bought a second set which can be used right on top of the first set. So, you can grow six tiers of sprouts in the same square foot of space. You could start a new crop every day for six days (maybe give it a rest on Sunday). Then you would have fresh sprouts every day of the week (almost).
Thanks for your directions. The kit directions from handy sprouter does not say how to use the trays for soaking. I started out using the sprouts tray at first as I did not know what to do.
I've been using Mason Jars. I'm switching to Sproutamo Easy Sprout cups though, as they are much easier to use. They sprout faster and also are a breeze to rinse, so my time spent is greatly decreased. I also just got some of these trays, as sprouts grow differently in trays, and I'm experimenting with how to grow them. Just a tip to increase the drain speed! If you run your finger across the holes as it's draining, you'll break the water tension and increase the water flow. It'll drain much faster.
I switch between mason jars and trays, depending on how much I'm growing at a time. There are definitely lots of ways to grow sprouts. Thanks for the tip about draining!
I buy from True Leaf Market (link in description). They have a huge selection of seed varieties, and I get really great germination from them. Hope this helps!
My broccoli sprouts end up in a stinky mush I don't know what I'm doing wrong? They're not sprouting and I'm rinsing them making sure the waters out and stacking them as recommended
Wow...grow seeds on a cookie sheet with paper towel and use a water bottle sprayer...never have rinsed and rinsed and rinsed...i dont understand this....and never seen so many seeds left..
This video actually makes it look like a lot of work. The video in Need to Grow was what made me buy it. Will start using it today.

Using a salad spinner for the final rinse and drain really works well, also helps with getting rid of some of the excess seeds.
Oh my goodness, that is a fantastic idea!! Thank you!!

Do they have to be put in the sun to green up ? Can I use a grow light as I don’t have a window shelf for direct sunlight
Hi! I haven't tried a grow light, but that should work! 😀
Thanks 😊
Can I grow broccoli sprouts using the jar method as well? Or do they grow better in a tray?
Yes, you can use a jar. The tray is just another way to grow more broccoli sprouts at a time. Thanks for your question!
where do you buy your seeds, I have tried 2 different products but have had poor sprouting 2/3 left unsprouted.
