The fact that the outside unit has that circuit board within it does that mean that that’s a heat pump? I’m really only familiar with the strict AC units that have contactors, capacitors and that’s all. I never liked the units that have those circuit boards outside. Seems like a lot more complicated issues.
Today I saw someone installing a HP next door, he was cutting big dia piece of copper with this tiny imp tubing cutter. And having a hard time. I'm no pro, but it's stuff like that that makes me not trust most HVAC techs.
Not a big deal, as far as I can see. Perhaps his "larger one" had a dull wheel that he noticed on the previous job and he didn't want to spend customer time changing it out, it broke on the previous job the night before and he had early emergency calls, etc, and he was using the smaller one... I prefer the smaller one at times. It slips easily into my pocket or a small belt tool pouch. Again, just sayin'... Not sure why someone would see this as an issue. Or want to take the time to mention it. Again, just sayin'...

Dirty inside coil , dirty filter , return air grills abstracted. Finally only after all those things have been checked . System low on charge . Beware of the gas and go guy’s . Make sure they fined leak . Hope this helps .

How do I know when to replace the filter drier? When the system doesn't stay on?
Nice made video. I'm assuming you saw a pressure or temperature differential at the filter.
One side of the drier started to frost up a bit
If you used Pinch Off and Re-round tool that will be much easier to just replace a filter drier

So when you replace the drier you lose all your Freon is that correct??
All charge has to be remove in some way to be able to replace the Drier.
You do a recover and then a pump down right?
What wrong, if I wrong install filter drier core position. My unit can icing?
If you put it in the wrong position the refrigerant wont be able to pass through it because it's a one way valve
