Shtisel : wonderful stories, amazing acting, touching melodies !!! I am a turkish muslim living in Germany and we actually almost know nothing about jewish people, religion and culture.
The show is very teaching and very impressive. I hope it is going to be continued.
As a Muslim, I relate to her perspectives. Gosh, we are all so interrelated and interconnected in various layers of life experiences. So happy I came across this wonderful show--absolutely love it!
you can see how this series connects us all! That is a great effect!
We grew up thinking that they are a strange, alien, foreign and bad. In reality everything about them is eastern , they as people are natives to the east and this also applies to their culture/religion as well . This is why the Jewish diaspora faired well in the east while it was the opposite in the west .
This show was great in introducing this group of people The Haredim who were mysterious to me before .
I look forward to a time when this conflict ends and the Palestinian Arabs gain the right of self determination through diplomacy and non violent means
One of the best, maybe the best, shows on Netflix. Fantastic characters! Time to watch it again!

You guys are secular ? Then all of you are even more amazing and talented than I could have possibly imagined! This series blessed and moved me in a profound way, and I thank you for that. Im not Jewish but would consider converting if I were younger. That’s a really powerful result from three “secular” actors. You have truly perfected your craft. Shalom.
I'm jewish and secular, but sheer curiousity has me asking the question about why you would convert if you were younger. Do you mean conversion into orthodox as portrayed in Shtisel?
The performance of actress Neta Riskin on the series was spectacular. What a show of interpretation, from start to finish. The series was very successful here in Brazil. 🇧🇷🇮🇱
Maybe the best series I have ever watched. The characters and acting are amazing. I couldn't stop watching it.
The best show on Netflix. Everyone can relate to the emotions of the show regardless of your religion.

Never be ashamed of your religion and beliefs. I'm not Jewish, but I have them in my heart because of all that they had to endure in life.... Just because of who they are. I love this series and cannot wait for #3, 4, 5 and on and on.
This show does not deal with the diaspora and hiding your identity. This is just one women's interpretation of the show.
It was a nice series but humans don't need any gods and religions to order their lives. On the contrary there were wars because of these variety of gods , beliefs und superstitions

Secular catholic Italian woman here. This series is *SUPERB* and to me, Gitti Weiss is possibly the most successful character ever. Congratulations to the writer(s) and the actress, she is absolutely amazing !!! I also think that we need to know more about these communities in a non-satirical or polemical way.

All the characters are incredible...but Giti, I am so moved for the intensity in the interpretation that can´t´ wait to see Neta in more movies.

I can identify with the characters on an emotional and spiritual level so much and know how they feel and know when I felt this way in my life. What an amazing series. As a christian from Germany I can identify with Shtisel so much more than most "secular" shows, this shows how amazing it is. Can't wait for Season 3.
I am a Muslim and I love this series. Although there is so much issues going on with “ Muslims” & “Jewish” it made me a little sad as they we have a lot in common in my opinion. But it helped me to understand the Orthodox Jewish (if i am right to call it that) culture, practice and mentality And I love those who love God and strive towards God path, as we know the devil likes to play with those who of us who try to work towards Gods way and cause division between people. Anyway thank you. For making a wholesome clean series I can watch with my family. It’s funny, sensitive, serious and informative and made also fall in love with the family!!! this also reminded me of the let’s say “orthodox” Muslims and none “orthodox”Muslims.
I love this show. Nothing to worry about violence etc. Just what I need at my age and in 'lockdown' in the UK. Very calming.
Love, love, love, love, LOVE this series! Watched all 3 seasons back to back with my 11 y/o. We feel part of the family - and we're not Jewish! Can't wait for season 4, 5, 6, 7, etc!

Thank you for having these interviews. I am very much enjoying the show. I love that it does not denigrate the people. I was unhappy with "Ultraorthodox". The acting was superb, but in the story; too many of the people were portrayed as evil.
This show is so much fun while also being melancholy. In other words; Life!

Shtisel is different because it shows the orthodox community but Unorthodox portrays an aspect of the Satmarer Jewish community, they are one of the most extreme communities and not comparable to the orthodox community shown in Shtisel. But a great show, O love it.
As a Catholic I always considered the Jewish religion as our Mother House. The three big monotheistic religions are related and connected. Accept it and respect the others.

I know she said Reform isn't very big in Israel, but I do know that their are Reform or Progressive Jewish communities in Israel. My stepfather, a Reform Rabbi, studied in Israel.
I was a nurse at a Reform Jew summer camp last year. They were very much proud of being jews, they welcomed my daughter with open arms. I became very good friends with this awesome girl Sarah, funniest girl on earth. We learned a lot from them. Very open minded people. Shalom
I never heard of Reform I'm I'm Israeli. I live in Israel.
I wasnt aware that Reform isn't very big in Israel, in the U.S. it is. It seems like in Israel, from what I understand, there are mostly two extremes--either very religious Orthodox, or secular/atheists. With Reform, you practice the religion, observe the holidays, etc, but without all the extreme restrictions and limitations of orthodoxy.
I'm glad its mixed with Yiddish. Easier to understand. excellent show can't wait for season 3
I love SHTISEL, the people had problems 3000 years ago as per the Tanakh, people still have the same problems today. All of you are great actors.

I don't know why anyone would be ashamed of being Jewish because I think everyone should be proud of who they are. If others can't accept who a person is then it's their problem not the person being who they are. I love the series and love how it shows ultra orthodox people as real people with real problems just like everyone else. Bravo to the cast and crew! Thank you for enlightening me.

Not entirely true about all communities. I’m Hasidic, and we mingle all the time with non religious people. We are constantly together with family and friends of all walks of life

@@histosapien I think that most of the Jewish community in India moved to Israel. There used to be Jews in India, I think in south India. Maybe there may still be some, I'm not sure. But my friend from Kerala did tell me that most went to Israel.

Me encanta su personaje! Muestra lo q es ser una mujer fuerte aunque su cultura no la deje mostrarlo en todo su esplendor, es conmovedor como Giti deja ver lo que es cuando las propias limitaciones están en la mente de una mujer, pero a pesar de todo siempre quiere seguir haciendo lo correcto según su conciencia. Yo no tengo nada que ver con ese mundo y claro, para mi el final perfecto de Giti sería que deje su mundo atrás con Lippe, pues el también es un inconforme y se vayan con su familia a hacer una vida sin tanta limitación, pero creo que no será así.
Me fascino las tres temporadas son buenísimas pero la tercera me provoco y movió todas las emociones que viven en mi , es de lo mejor .
No he podido ver la tercera temporada, no la encuentro en Netflix y vivo en Israel.

I couldn't understand why the lady in L.A. felt the way she did. Scores of phenomenal comedians have built careers celebrating and emphasizing their Jewishness (too many to name but we all know them) A large number of American Nobel prize winners is Jewish...I could go on. It's not that I don't believe the story, of course I do, I just find it odd why anyone should try to conceal their Jewishness in the USA. And Neta is sweet and eloquent...just please don't keep touching the mic :-)

In real life I wouldn't tolerate such a toxic character like giti even for a minute. The irritation reflected by giti was so strong that it was maybe the success/talent of the actress idk.
