Federal public service workers coalition urges action on discrimination - July 29, 2024

At a news conference on Parliament Hill, representatives from the Coalition Against Workplace Discrimination discuss an internal report that they say details discrimination within the Privy Council Office. They call on the federal government to respond to the report and present recommendations to address what they say are systemic issues of racial discrimination in the public service. Speaking at the news conference are Nicholas Marcus Thompson (CEO, Black Class Action Suit), Sharon DeSousa (national president, Public Service Alliance of Canada), Nathan Prier (president, Canadian Association of Professional Employees), and Larry Rousseau (executive vice-president, Canadian Labour Congress).
