Sorry Vilmary, I no longer have this machine. It isn't too difficult from memory and the is a service manual I previously found online that gives the precise measurements for needle and rotary hook positions.
I have a 720 that’s new to me and the bobbin winder lever was stuck I’ve oiled it and got it to work but there seems to be a problem with a plastic gear behind the two front gears can it be repaired
Hi Anne, it's difficult to visualise the gears you are referring to, particularly as I no longer have this machine. If the gears are gummed up you can usually remove this with isopropyl alcohol, meths or white spirit (or WD-40 at a push). If the teeth are nylon rather than metal and have split they are irreparable and the chances of getting a new replacement are remote. The best bet would be from a second hand machine (of which there are a fair few). I think it's worth persevering as they are fantastic machines (in my opinion).
@@sussexsmokery8182 thank you for your reply your right it is such a lovely machine I think it is worth looking into thank you for all your videos on singer sewing machines l enjoy them all
Apologies for the delay - I couldn't find out how to post replies. The number for the foot pedal is 618808 065. I've since sold this machine but had a photograph of the pedal. It was made in France 150-250 volts .35 amp; 25-75 Hz. I hope that's helpful in locating a replacement.
Hi there, they are not difficult to maintain but the 740s and 760s have a number of nylon gears that are prone to splitting and are no longer available as spare parts.
Thank you for this. I have 760. I know little, just starting to learn, so this is very helpful. 😊
I would appreciate if possible a video with the singer 720 machine adjusting the needle and the hook.
Thank you.
