Henie Kuiper riding under power at speed with a front flat!!!!....shows his skill, the importance of the event, and why these races are legend....the best from everyone till they have no more to give.....
Try doing that on the "new" stupidly dangerous tubeless tire and rim combo. I strongly dislike the direction that pro cycling has taken. Why not have a homologated race for pros that utilize the much safer metal frames and rims. Tired of exploding rims and frames for the silliest of impacts.
@@lovelyswims Flanders 86 was a bad one but strangely enough, Kelly in a few interviews, rates his failure to win Flanders '84 as his worst ride (because he failed to cover the winning Lammerts break). Worlds 89 was his other worst ride because he chose the wrong gear for the final sprint in the previous days training ride.
@@marks_sparks1 Yeah, 89 was cruel alright. We were there on Montagnole, huge crowds, a giant screen at the bottom of the hill, thousands watching the sprint together and nobody could believe Kelly didn't win.
Class
One of the best wheel changes you will ever see....
Today, with all the ridiculous &^%$#@! New Age crap that change would have taken a week..........

Jan raas and team Raleigh my heroes in the 80s when I'd just started cycling with Rotherham wheelers !
Team Raleigh looked so cool! The bikes back then are far nice than the carbon crap of today.
This race took place years before I was born. However, that Raleigh red bike from thee 80s is the one I ride today. They can keep their carbon crap!
Amazing ride by Kuiper!
De macht waarmee Jan gewoon besluit jongens ik ben weg heh, zie maar wat je doet.

this isn't labled correctly... its the Amstel gold RAAS NIET RACE :P :)
toen was wielrennen nog leuk
How did Sean not win Amstell or Flanders? Or the worlds
In Amstel and Flanders he rarely had a teammate with him in the finale. 86 Flanders is the one that will always haunt though.

Wat kuiper hier laat zien is heel groots dan ben je wel iemand.
Dat was hij ook..Helaas had hij totaal geen eindschot..Anders hij veel meer gewonnen.Maar zijn palmares is indrukwekkend.
