  • Disclaimer:
Dlog-M footage was color corrected using DJI LUT. HLG footage was converted to REC2020 then I applied DJI LUT. I changed the strength of LUT to match each sample.

Let me know which color profile you use the most and why?

Sorry, but I don’t understand why you convert rec.2020 in HLG mode (or more simply HDR) to rec.709 or SD
I post a video on TH-cam in HLG and it knows this format, and some old equipment provides an option in SD, and some new equipment offers HDR, indicating this. In both versions the colors will be normal (only different SD or HDR color spaces)
So my TV knows HLG (rec. 2020) and the HDR icon appears.
It is also not clear what you are comparing with what... When converting rec.2020 into rec.709, you then compare the resulting rec.709 with rec.709 (Normal). What's the point of this?

Yes, you are right! If you have an HDR monitor, you don't need to convert at all. I don't have one though. When I watch the footage it looks blown, and colours don't look right if I dont convert to Rec2020 or Rec709.

It does look good, but you will need to spend more time in the editing program converting to rec2020 or rec709. You can download sample footage I uploaded to the link in the video description if you would like to test.

      @@rafaelgil1542 ,
      Why convert it?!
This is the HDR standard for new display devices!
My TV knows it and displays correctly, rich colors + High Dynamic Range
