    Hello, I am a retired CM from DCL and I never miss going to the Spa first day to see what they offer plus they do a raffle on the first day. I’m actually going on the Disney Dream tomorrow and can’t wait because it has been 2 yrs and a half since my last cruise. The Spa also have good offers on Port Day and I always get the facial and back massage combination.

    If you buy a bottle of wine at dinner and dont finish it, they will re-cork it and store it for you to have at the following evenings dinner. Good to know if say, you finished a first bottle and were thinking of ordering a second bottle, but didn't think you could finish it.

    We recently took our first cruise, ever and it was a DCL cruise. While I'm reticent to say which ship I'll say that it was a great time. I found out that I served part of my Air Force career at a base in the home state of the Cruise Director and I had the chance to speak with the Director about this and to let him know how much I loved the people of his home state. It turns out that his home city was just north of the base. At the end of the cruise he left us a bag of goodies and a hand written not thanking me for speaking with him about my adventures in his home state and my kind words and that he'd love for us to come back to his ship. A great personalized touch.
    As for the Cabin Hosts and the Servers, we found that we loved to find out about their families. Our Cabin Host was fun to joke with. She even pulled pranks with us in our cabin after she cleaned it. So much fun! We left her a huge tip because of her fun times that she had with us. When she would see us walking down the hallway she would yell at us, which would embarrass us, in a fun way. We fell in love with her and her antics. We'll definitely go on another DCL cruise.
    I would also add to see the shows every night while on the ship. They are very well done and done right.

We are supposed to do $13 per day per person plus $2 every time I would get room service and the gratuity which I'm assuming is above 10% that goes to the servers in dining?? I'm really asking because that seems like a lot of preparation to do before the actual cost of the whole Cruise.

    Would love to see a video on excursions. Sadly the ones that I was intersted in for our upcoming cruise all say SOLD OUT. I have seen some people mention that you can just contact the tour companies directly and book through them. Would you reccommend doing that? I'm a little nervous about doing anything not specifically DISNEY, though I would assume these particular tour companies have all been vetted by Disney.

    • @disneeds
      @disneeds  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would research or join a Facebook Disney cruise group to see who people are using and recommending for your ports of call. For awhile you could only do Disney excursions because of covid but I think that has changed now. Obviously you want to make sure it’s safe and a fit for your family. The most important thing with Disney Cruise excursions is that the ship will wait for you if the excursion is late getting back. If you are on your own, they will not. so just get to the ship in plenty of time :-)
