Such a clean and smooth operation and that Japa is an awesome machine. Elaine from Canada here, lovin’ the new bigger live deck too. And now you’re working in the shade! This is looking very good for you Joe. You’ve planned out your equipment, yard and system very well. Congratulations. Great camera work again! Cheers.
Good Morning Joe- Nice to see the 405 in action. We are doing a lot of bundled firewood and I think the 405 with the Perfect Split may be the way to go. I just got one of the updated 6 way knives for the 365 and it is fantastic.
The 365 was a great starter firewood processor and does a really good job for its size class. We really need a larger production processor that can handle larger diameter logs. I’m looking at the Tajfun and the Japa 405. I will be looking at firewood processors at the Paul Bunyan Show.
Good Morning Joe, I believe your world class splitter is in a class of its own, unless someone designs a multiple log splitter, the 405 is the king🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
Joe, this is a great video. I think you got a fine tuned processor. Everything seems to flow so well without many hickups. The cherry seems to split really well & the different knives you have is awesome. TY for sharing. Dave D from Maine. Have a great day.👍
Wow Joe, you really have your operation working so efficient!! How nice to have a load of Cherry to put icing on the cake and being able to work in the shade(despite the crazy heat)!
Gidday from New Zealand again, Joe. Haggis here again. We are in the pit of our winter here. The overnight temperatures, while much warmer than your overnight winter chill, are such that our fire is going 24/7 - and has done since May. It will go out in October when things warm up. Go well, buddy.
Hey Joe love your videos but have an idea for you. You are an excellent job as the main star of the show and I believe it’s your daughter doing the camera work? What if the two of you swapped places for a video? Just a thought.
Remember japa 405 own make for small timber joe look 👀 at the steel and well it make 😮. Go on u tube see the wood 🪵 hounds always welder hair line cracks on them in the UK . 😮
Good Day Joe, nice looking Cherry Logs. Good sized Firewood Splits should be Alright. The 8way or the 6way seems to be good in making Quality Splits Buddy. To Hot and Humid up here in NY. Hi Joe - it's Big Rodders in Ireland. Have you thought of starting work at say 5am and stopping before the sun gets high? We don't get near the heat you do but I've done that over the years, often putting my feet up by midday.
@@ohiowoodburner - Big Rodders here. An interesting idea but my challenge to you is - would more logs be produced in the yard overall if you had a helper on the 405 or got him/her to run the Eastonmade or SuperSplit separately? I've had a similiar dilemma on various projects.
Chains last around 5-7 tables. The fastest I have filled the trailer was 17 minutes. This was filmed in an unedited video and can still be seen in one of my older vids. Average time is prob around 35-45 min. This is mostly bc I don't work fast and have to move about the machine to adjust logs on the live deck, etc.

Thanks Elaine. There are times when I can't believe this place is mine. I love the Japa and the roof!
The speed in which you can change knifes is amazing. The first split after every change Ryann went woooohhh!!
haha. Tell him to bring his gloves out here and help. It's too hot for me!
Hands down the best looking load of wood split on TH-cam!
I love watching that machine run
It is a blast to watch for sure Craig
Beautiful cherry, and split perfectly. Job well done!
Great video joe the 405 is a beast good to see you back at work
Thanks bob. Love this machine!

I have to agree with you buddy. It is an amazing machine.
Effective efficiencies are a blessing to watch!
Indeed they are. This machine is awesome!
You are truly the Japa 405 king 🤴. Stay cool 😎.
🤠👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Lance. That is a cool title to own!!!

Wow Joe, you really have your operation working so efficient!! How nice to have a load of Cherry to put icing on the cake and being able to work in the shade(despite the crazy heat)!
That is an awesome machine. You need to build you a rack, like a gym weight rack, to hang your knives on.
I had thought of maybe a yard cart or something like that. At least something like you say to keep them out of the way
Really like watching the 405 in action!! Great video!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks Dave. I love watching it too!
Good morning Joe from Indiana good to see you useing the 405 in a while
Hi Dale. It has been a while. I didn't run it since I was in Germany. To hot for me!
@@ohiowoodburnerI know how it is it's been hot here in Indiana it's been in the upper 80desto lo 90des here
Yo, Joe! You and the Japa were really cranking on this vid…be good to yourself on these hot summer days! 👍
You ain't kidding Dave. It is steaming hot! Not good for me!
You made short work on that load of wood. Nice work Joe.
This machine doesn't quit Ronnie!
Always impressive how efficient that Japa is
It is a joy to run no doubt!
We are all making firewood in the summer heat. But we are doing it all together 😉👍
I would rather have it be 20 degrees cooler LOLOLOL
That is quite the processing unit.
Great to see you back at it Joe. Highlight of my day. Cheers from HB NZ
Thanks Cliffy. I have another friend from NZ who watches my vids. His name is Haggis. Hope you both can connect
Good job 👍 in the heat
Thanks T. Super hot indeed!
Next load is going to be oak I hope 😎👍 that’s a nice fast easy machine. And looks to me that you have that down, from what you first started 😁
I won't be doing oak for about another 5 loads of white wood. I have a lot of spaces that need filled right now Frank
@@ohiowoodburner Ahhhhh boooooo hiss hiss lol
I don't know whats better , watching the Japa or funny cat videos.
One of my passtimes is forwarding cat vids

Great to hear from you Haggis. Sounds like you could use some of our heat here in Ohio! Been super hot and humid! I hope you have been well.
Cherry was always good! Jose would be handy for knife changing! Well Dun!
It is funny how easy it is to swap out a knife but I can't get myself to do it sometimes LOL.
@@ohiowoodburner Sounds like an age thing...LOL
I love watching the Japa 405! What a beautiful load of cherry firewood! I bet that smells amazing! - Tim
Joe,maybe in October when the Paul Bunyan show hits Dan and Don will show up at your wood yard to help you out a little bit 😮😊❤
That would be awesome Todd!
My favourite firewood channel.. ❤🤠👍
Thanks guy!
You best set the ole alarm way earlier in the morning,Joe! You are gonna stroke out on us!😪
Hot for sure!

That could happen but in this case my wife was the camerawoman. She doesn't have any desire to be on camera lol

Hey 👋 Joe
hello
Wonderful video.

def too hot down here for me. Not much production other than what you saw in this vid. Stacking is its own problem now until things cool off!
Use a porta power to spread the perfect split holes back out.
Good idea. Thanks bob
Good Splitting Joe 👍 Although I enjoy watching the perfect split, seeing the 4,6, & 8 way again is great 😊 Really nice looking cherry.
Glad you enjoyed it Lyle!
The 405 does a nice job with those small diameter logs for sure.
It does but its sweet spot is about a 12 inch log
Awesome video 😊as always
Thanks Snipster!
Wow!👍
Thanks Mr Hill!
Hello joe how many h works the bar before you change
This chain is ready to be swapped out. This one lasted a long time...prob 7 tables. I prob average about 5-6 tables per sharpening
@@ohiowoodburner joe and the bar?"saw rail"
Hi Joe - it's Big Rodders in Ireland. Have you thought of starting work at say 5am and stopping before the sun gets high? We don't get near the heat you do but I've done that over the years, often putting my feet up by midday.
Hey Joe? Do you have to use a special saw chain on the processor?
This is standard Oregon chain. I think it is .058 gauge .50 pitch
@@ohiowoodburner - Big Rodders yet again! I may be wrong but I'm pretty sure a standard .325 chain is used on the 405.
Any more news on the building in Youngstown that exploded?
They are still tearing it down. I had heard some of the workers were seen taking items for themselves. Hate hearing this.
Joe imagine how much wood you could make with skinny logs if you ran the machine and had someone to loaf the live deck!
no doubt. I sometimes wish a second person was here bc some of the logs can become tricky
@@ohiowoodburner - Big Rodders here. An interesting idea but my challenge to you is - would more logs be produced in the yard overall if you had a helper on the 405 or got him/her to run the Eastonmade or SuperSplit separately? I've had a similiar dilemma on various projects.
Two questions. How long does a sharpened chain last? What is the real time to fill that trailer?

Average time is prob around 35-45 min. This is mostly bc I don't work fast and have to move about the machine to adjust logs on the live deck, etc.
How long chain blade last and how to change it?
Hi Joe. Always fun to watch the Japa ! How's the new roof protecting you from the heat?
Love the roof. Best addition to the yard ever.
@@ohiowoodburner - Big Rodders again. I thought your tractor was the best addition to the yard 😂.
Chain sounds like it could use a sharpening
Hi joe amazing work and machine, do you have any connection to get one in canada?
Thank you
Julien

I don't know about Canada. Contact Japa direct for dealer info www.japa.fi
