Brian I tried your sequence a few times to no avail, but then found the propper sequence in a different video. Key on, push in button, press accelerator, turn key off, then back on, and then service mode was acquired
This is correct. I tried with my ford f150 limited according to the video and it didn't work, maybe because I have the push start system. The method from this comment worked for me. In case anyone is wondering, the caliper torque is 27 ft/lb, while the lug torque is 150 ft/lb.
@@3385711 Thank you Mark! Mine only worked after trying your sequence. After trying several times, I looked at comments to see what was being said and found you. Once again, a big THANK YOU!
You are correct. The video sequence did not work but your description did. Thank you!
This worked for my 19 f150 5.0
Electric e break
lol
Really appreciated the instructions to put the EPB on my 22 Expedition in Maintenance mode - worked perfect. However, there has been a step added to the "EPB return to service" procedure involving the brake pedal. Not sure what other Ford models are affected but it might be time to update the vid. Thanx
Finally Ford does something to make my life easier. I changed out my front brake pads (just had to remember to put the pad with the ears on the inboard side) now I can do the rears.
I was thankful they did it this way as well. If not you would have to have a scanner.
This was a great video! Thanks a ton! I tried changing my F-150's rear brake pads last weekend and had no idea the electronic E-brake sticks them in position, so I couldn't get the job done. My last F-150 used the manual pull cable, so I never thought I'd hit any issues. When I called my Dad and asked if he knew what was up, he told me the newer vehicles with the electronic E-brake have that restriction and might need a device to interact with the vehicle's computer (one of his cars needed this apparently). I was pretty sure there was a "trick" to it involving a combination of inputs since I know there's a factory/dealership shipping mode that needs something similar to deactivate. Thank goodness I found your video to show how it's done!
Excellent tips Brian , thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for your help great job explaining saves me a lot of time😊
Great tutorial,
Question? What is the difference between the rotor of manual parking brake and electronic parking break?
Thank you
Hello Brian thanks for sharing ✌️
Thank you for watching!
Usually I just pop off the back cap and turn them in with a ratchet. To each their own
Is this necessary if you have a manual parking brake?
Are you able to put the truck into brake maintenance mode using Forscan? I ask because I can't put my 21 in brake maintenance mode manually. Dealership/Ford’s top engineers can't figure it out.
Hi Brian: I have a 2019 ford edge. Do I need to enter service mode if just flush brake fluid?
Could you also advise the bleeder screw torque specs?
Thanks a lot!
dont you love how he ignores your legit question but answers the useless comment below?
Is this require to replace front pads?
No only for the rear
How do u do this with push button
When you cycle the key, just make sure your foot is off the brake.
I just avoid buying cars with a bunch of electronic gadgetry. The less electronics on my cars the better.
Wrong and a waste of time! 😏
