Van is an absolute master of storytelling. I can't believe how a video about repairing a playground zip-line can be so meditative, thought-provoking, and outright delightful.
Its America.... So if you fix / repair something. And then somebody gets hurt, then I guess you are liable. I mean in the only country in the world where healthcare is not publically available, you have a system where you always have to find somebody to blame. The playground might even say... We DIDNT fix it on purpose because we didn't want people to get hurt using it.

Hey thanks for actually showing the finished zipline at the end of the short you made about this video.
Not many ppl do that, most try to double dip and get ppl to come to the full video.
just put on a reflective vest and no one will question anything
This world needs more people like you sir.
👏bravo

You are TH-cam's Werner Herzog, Van
You sir are what is right with this country! We need more people who think and act for the good of us all. Thank you.
Dude these videos rock. Being a father is the wildest thing. You tell the story well.
I’m constantly impressed with how many of your videos get me all choked up. Thanks uncle Van
I salute you; for doing the thing that needed to be done and for living to tell the tale.
Volunteerism at its finest. This video made my heart happy.
I love everything about this. Thank you for killing my time.
Great video! The stop motion, the drone shots, everything super high quality. Subscribed
Thank you, you have just brightened my day and renewed my faith in my fellow man.
1st of all you are an amazing story teller! This video was absolutely amazing! You told this story better than anyone possibly could! You are a true artist! Huge fan!
The effort put into the animation at the start! Dedication to the storytelling.
Man it feels good to watch positive cooperation to make the world a better place. Thank you.
Just a reminder this is a TH-cam video, not a documentary, that’s how good the quality is.
YOU SIR are one of my new everyday Hero's!
The World needs more Dad’s like you! Well done 👍 Van!
I am so very inspired by this. I remember being a kid and playing on lame stuff. Now, as a part time handyman, I'm going to start a NextDoor post for local parents to have a platform to complain about, and I'm going to fix what I can.
Thanks for doing this man, honestly inspired.
Great job buddy. Wish there were more people like you out there. To take the risk of getting in legal trouble just so your kids and other kids in the community have a proper playground. Awesome.
