@@astridb5595 but there are a lot of women shirts without flowers or butterflies. At least women can choose out of a range of different colours, designs and styles. Males are often forced to wear blue, grey, black. Everything in colourful is potentially problematic, while women can nearly wear what they want and lanel it as fashion.

I think it also makes sense for them to do the cam sizes, since that’s how they would have to hang from a crack of that size in an actual climb. Just a slightly different metric, but more easily controlled.
The way they did it is more of a test of how strong they would be on the same route, I guess. Both ways are interesting to look at.
Yeh using the same technique will have to be for another time 👍 this time we just wanted to keep implement the same, like the grip sport event ones were
look at it this way, Mari didn't get to use a smaller pinch block or hub... both of which pete would have had a small advantage having larger, meatier hands

Hey! I’m a strongman that just competed in a “wrecking ball hold” a week ago. I ended up winning, and I think a big part of why I did is because I also love rock climbing!

There's so many factors, skin, pain tolerance... probably not bodyweight, but that was a great video.
Hand size, wrist width, hand width, position & technique, hormones, genes, # of years training. Chalk, sweat, so very many.
Need to get myself one of those jam-test devices. I know i can hang comfortably on one hand in a 48mm(lumber size) hand size jam, would be fun to test all the other sizes. Fun video guys :)
needed some height/rope-length adjustment so Mari doesn't have to lift with her shoulder rather than legs :-p

I want to see the crack device scaled to hand size for competing - not a specific cam size but like x% of the width of your thumb meat, or something similar. So that everyone is using the same stack or technique.
Regarding PAIN, ask Dan about the jam problem at Stoney Mid, called the Alps,in Tom's Roof.

I've never thought about it that way, but the fact that you can hold something in a fist jam that is already hard to hold by wrapping your fingers around it in the most comfortable way possible is actually kinda whack.

@@wyattmadson Do you have acces to a tracksaw and a drill press? A table would be even better. I've build a device that it pretty easy to set up and use. Only question would be how to show you pictures and dimensions.

@@wyattmadson A tracksaw is a circular saw that you can put on an aluminum track to guide it.
@@wyattmadson And I just pulled the thing out of the sports cabinet and tested it. It doesn't work for ring locks with my hands but maybe with yours. And fingers were hard to, but maybe I'm to cautious.

Yeh this would be great for another test, which we'll probably do at some point 👍 For this one we just wanted to keep the grip the same throughout, like the other grips were that we used from the grip sport events.
