Dear Jacques, thank you for the video. Your style is very clear and helpful for a beginner like I am. I'll come back soon to learn more from your experience!
Excellent video. One problem. Some of us have poor eye vision and cant follow the Very small and Fast pointer. At times it just disappear. Could you make it bigger and color red. Red is easier to follow. Thank You
I am very new to FreeCAD but could not duplicate your tutorial. For one thing, I could not add fcgear - not in the list. How can I obtain that? Also, you appear to get a different selection of tools for part design and part. You explained the gears extremely well, but not the details of actually constructing them. Thank you for making tutorials too!
you are right, FC Gear not showing up it is here: wiki.freecadweb.org/External_workbenches find more about issues here: forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=51638 Like you I started with watching video, some channels worth watching: th-cam.com/channels/YoC_z7nsi842rI9hM3LZSg.html th-cam.com/channels/RDrMY8iM4FsFjYJcwhygZA.html
Great to see FreeCad being used for gears. Nice tutorial I am planning to build clocks in wood / plastic, and I see the wall clocks on your wall that look really good I already have a CNC and have started learning FreeCad (Ideally I just want to learn one product and use that for all design, if possible) Are you using FreeCad for all the design work for those clocks ? or are you also using other software to complete the whole clock ? Do you also design all the escapements on FreeCad ? Do you use some form of animation so that you can verify your mechanical motion visually before cutting all the components Many thanks for any help and pointers Jacques
Thanks I have a couple more videos on gears, cycloid gears, animation and escapement design Even started escapement animation with FreeCAD I hear that FreeCAD path workbench is the best open source for CNC, but I do not have any experience of it FreeCAD is very powerful, that mean lots to learn
Great video Jacques ! I'm pretty new to Freecad so will have to watch it several times before it all sinks into my thick head, but gears are something I want to experiment with when I'm more up the learning curve. Thanks for your efforts and keep the videos coming 😊
I Jacques very very notable your work, complimenti sinceri. Eugenio.
Thank you so much for this, Sir. I was ready to give up my project and opt for an easier one but this gave me the solution I needed to proceed
Learning freecad since Fusion 360 crapped on the hobbiests. Great content.

Thanks
super , please slow ..... im poland :)
It is not a tutorial. You are just showing us how you know how to use freecad.
If you want to call this a tutorial you must slow down. As it is it is too fast and you explain very little.
