They are not celebrating because they were not even thinking about this series. This was just a bump on the road to the real challenge that is GenG. I guarantee you they will celebrate big time if they beat GenG
Agreed, T1 has never failed to reach Semi. Just like last-year, Semi will be their biggest problem as their opponent is 1. MSI Winner 2. Favoured 3. Top 1 WW
@@ahhhhhhh111 Honestly, I agree. Seeing how MSI goes and BLG failed to beat GENG twice, T1 gotta pulled a DRX's miracle in order to beat GENG. However, as T1 fan, you gotta cope hard as this team runs on copium to wins.
15:30 Saying Meiko whiffed implies Meiko made a bad play or didn't aim his skill shot properly, that he made a mistake. Meiko did exactly what he needed to do, but if Guma had hands (which he did) then there's really nothing Meiko could have done there. Saying Guma dodged or outplayed puts the emphasis on Guma making a good play or being better.
Having hands is a stretch, that was a good reaction by Guma, anticipating in the middle of the fight that getting flash R by Meiko is the only way to lose is not that easy.
@@6JLUas a support main I can only have my input into what Meiko did. Idc wether Meiko whiff'd or not. He is just making a desperation play there. As engage supports there are always 2 things we track, summoners and disengage abilities. He went in knowing there are still a disengage ability. It was more of a blunder if ever. Meiko was late and Jackey was low. There was no point going in there.
He didn't hit guma. That was a whiff. Whiff doesn't mean bad play. It means a miss that lead to a bad outcome. If I ezreal ult and they dodge, then they dodged it. If I naut q and they dodge, making me hit a wall and die, that was a whiff.
I think saying that the ABILITY whiffed is correct because it didn't hit, ie it missed. The question is whether saying that a PLAYER whiffed implies that that player made a mistake, which I think it does. Saying someone "whiffed" an ability typically means that that person completely missed it. But then does it count as a "miss" if the opponent WOULD HAVE gotten hit IF they didn't dodge? Well that depends on if they consciously dodged it, which Guma obviously did. So you could say the ability "hit" in the sense that it forced the other player to input a move in order to dodge it. But, you could also say that you could have/should have known that Guma had R still, and therefore that ulting him would reasonably be expected to miss because he would simply ult in return. So you could argue that Meiko should have expected Guma to ult, and therefore that trying to ult him is like a whiff. Similar to using a spell on someone who has spell shield; the ability still "lands" but has no effect because of an input from the other player. TLDR: Saying someone "whiffed" implies they completely missed, ie that the ability didn't require any input from other players in order to be dodged. Here Guma did have to input an action to dodge the ability, so in THAT sense it didn't whiff. But you could also argue that Meiko should treat Guma ult as a foregone conclusion, and therefore that ulting him is basically the same as ulting the air, ie whiffing. Basically it just depends on how you frame it.
they are not here for a semi finals win... they have lost a finals in worlds and won the next, they know the mindset they need, and its not being happy for winning a semi finals.
15:25 Whiff is standard terminology in fgs and they don’t have this issue, guma countered meikos play so it would be correct to say dodge not whiff bc the change was not from meiko but guma, if guma did not ult, it would have hit. This like when you blamed faker for “missing” ahri charm after mikyx flashed it, not trying to sound aggressive but this is a pointless pedantic semantic point and a weird hill u chose to die on
in Tekken there is no word for punishing a "dodged" attack but there is something called "crushing", however "whiff punish" is standard. so the correct way to see it is indeed how Crownie and the other guy saw it. Meiko didn't whiff nor did he miss. Guma just "crushed" or "dodged" it.
Meiko did not whiff at all. Guma just had a great reaction time and dodged his flash engage. Also: 'Whiff' wrongfully blames Meiko and does not acknowledge Guma's reaction time and ultimate.
Tbh for this game specifically, can’t always this is true, but IWDom had better takes and read the games substantially better. Obviously it’s easier to say after the results, but he was pretty right throughout the series.
TES vs TOP, a true classic matchup. This is not even the first time editor is messing up team names in the title, I don't wanna be toxic, but come on dude you can do better than that.
If they beat Gen G i will have no words but hard hard hard.. And if so then BLG awaits.. We will mby see the best finals in history of worlds.. BLG vs Gen G/T1.. Whoever gets it from LCK it bill be a BANGER vs monsters of BLG!!
To be fair, LS completely ignored/missed/misinterpreted the vast majority of said "key moments", so it's really the costreamer that leaves a lot to be desired.
Keria really having for fun games against lpl second seed is a good sign, stop forcing him to play leona rell and let him force the other people to match his playstyle or bleed out.
T1 does rely on Faker to give them confidence in decision-making. When he’s put on champions that lack agency, the entire team suddenly feels less confident and experiences trust issues. Now that the meta has shifted back to Faker's champion pool, they remember that they're world-class players 🤣. Zeus, and Keria were now not hard-stuck playing tank/engage champions. Oner is back to his AD or tank duty. Guma can now play hard-carry champions. I'll expect them using Jinx + Thresh/TK vs GenG.
Its not a whiff, Guma just had insane reaction to the flash + R. He forced Guma's R + he landed ult on Zeus. What the fuck else was he supposed to do? Watch with Rell? LS' Ego can't allow him to just be like "Oh dang that was a lot happening so i guess i missed that". Even the other ppl in the call are saying it wasn't a whiff.
Aside from the usual argument of T1 always looking different when it comes to worlds. The signs of them having already planned many well thought out strategies for TES were already there even when they lost to them that opening day. Game 1 T1 who many have seen barely made it to worlds, start off playing like machines against TES. They understood what they needed to do to get those early leads but fell short when it came to team fight and then fumbled in the draft due to testing waters in the new meta. Fast forward to Quarters. Look at how they played yesterday, exactly the same way BUT they avoided all the small fights and just moving around everywhere. T1 was also interviewed that one other time about who they think will be a challenge for them coming into worlds, and Faker answered that it was TES that they needed to watch out for and that 3-0 clearly showed that they had prepped for it accordingly.
