Time was one of the first solos I taught myself to play and one of my absolute favourites to jam on (not to mention also the first thing I played after buying my Ram's Head Big Muff last summer), such an absolute jam and undoubtedly one of Gilmour's greatest solos. Great lesson as always, man, you knock it out of the park every time
2:23 - The rhythm isn't really random. He strikes the treble strings in time with the snare on the 2 and 4 (unless he is doing a fill) and the bass notes with the kick drums on the one and two.
I love your Tutorials because you Show everything so clear, so straight forward, it‘s always a great pleasure 🙏🎗🏅 thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏 did. you also made a Video about „wish you were here“ ? I would love to See it, please 🎗🏅🙏
It took 6 hours for me to really get the solo down but now that i have it i even add a little of my own flair and ive developed an accoustic version, BUT everytime i do play it i always screw up once! Pisses me OFF!!!
Omg bro. First off...thank you. You know I play in a Floyd Band (not big) here in NYC. I realized I was playing some very subtle things slightly wrong. The sliding 6ths. Like, all of them...ha. But your way sounds dead on, man. So I'm taking it. Thanks again. And btw...lol. That is an Em9, not Em7...
for rhythm parts, it's ideal to use a powerboost type overdrive, like hi-power or pastfx colorsound, or you can use bd-2 for it. big muff is not going to do it, it'll be too muffy and fizzy sound. you can use big muff for solo though, if you don't have a good fuzz
@@mustyguitar thanks - signed up but can't see any guitar pro files. Are they only available on the most expensive patreon plan? Was really hoping to use the GP tracks and learn while watching your vids (which are awesome).
But most likely, pedals are a compressor of some kind (likely a MXR Dyna Comp), Colorsound Power Booster for the rhythm overdrive (or clone, like PastFX, I know he likes that one). For the solo, it’s definitely a Power Booster into an EHX Big Muff (likely a Ram’s Head, Russian would work too). He probably is using a TC Electronics Flashback for delay in the solo, and he could be using a Dawner Prince Pulse or BOSS RT-20 for a rotary sound to give a little more flavor to the tone. The Breathe Reprise section is more than likely an MXR Phase 90 (probably script version)

Hocam harikasın. Kanalın da muhteşem ilgiyle takip ediyorum. Parçaya gelecek olursak ritim kısmı solodan daha zor geliyor :))
Katiliyorum hocam lick tarzi ritimler daha zor geliyor formullulerden
biraz da acemiligin etkisi var tabi benimkinde
Can you maybe talk about how to use the big muff for this tone specifically
Very helpful tutorial musty! Quick question would you use a big muff like green russian or Overdrive like BD2 for all rhythm parts ??? Many thanks !
