Hi! I found this model of camera in a relatives house when clearing it out. I am unsure if it is working properly and was wondering what the best way to test if it is functioning okay? Would you reccomend buying a roll of film and taking pictures then getting them developed? Also i was wondering how I can tell when the battery is finished? Thanks so much for any advice you have/can give. Great video so helpful
if the battery is dead, the camera will not work in automatic mode (set to A). but when using any manual mode, the shutter should work even without the battery. I don't really know how long the battery lasts in there. the manual for the camera says to replace the battery once a year. but as soon as A mode doesn't work, thats when i would replace it :)
not really, because you can't control the shutter speed. You can do manual aperture if you want to limit it but the camera will still choose the shutter speed.
I just got mine from EBay. Apparently my meter doesn’t work, so I have to use an app to measure light and set my settings. Another thing I quickly found out: it’s not actually a rangefinder camera. You can’t focus by looking through the viewfinder. You have to guess the distance of the subject to set the focus appropriately.
Yes, it has a rangefinder but for that price and size of camera, its not the greatest one out there ;p the mechanism in many cameras needs a good service to have good visibility on that tiny patch. But its still a great little pocket rangefinder 😃
How do you like using this camera? 😃 Would you add anything else to this tutorial? 😃
I must say your explanations for the flash controls makes so much sense. Thank you so much for making this video.
You're very welcome! 😃
Great video thank you! I just got mine and this was really helpful :)
i'm glad i could help! :D wish you lots of great photos! :D
I shoot with a lot of cameras, including Leicas! My opinion is this lil shucker is an absolutely L killer!
Maybe not a killer but surely a beauty! 😃

Can the light meter be used without Auto mode?

Oops! Nevermind! I see the very faint focusing dot now.
