A master at work. Well experienced and vast list. EXCEPT - OLYMPUS 35RD!! A pleasure to see you work when I relax after a hards days work in the office
I highly recommend this store. I just ordered a ricohflex tlr from him which is perfect. (Marcel, an old retiree from Switzerland, photographer, collector and lover of old analog cameras.)
Amazing video with great detail and walkthrough. I am going to be doing this soon to an RD, hopefully should be similar. Thank you! Earned a new subscriber
Hi from Sendai! A friend has just given me a minty 'ED' edition that has a 38mm 1:1.7 lens. (There is no manual control in the ED.) Despite its apparent "low milage", it has the same issues as your 'RD'. Accordingly, this video will help me a lot, although there are some apparently minor differences. As is usual with your work, this is an excellent presentation. Thank you!
Thanks for the nice videos. Love watching your channel as your videos are well made and you really know what your talking about. I have an Olympus 35 RD and haven’t had the lubricant migrating to the shutter blades yet but I have recently noticed that when I wind the film lever, the lever doesn’t spring back by itself. I have to push it back myself. Any insight as to why that’s happening and how to resolve it? Thanks again!
Any idea why the light meter numbers in this camera would be blurry when I look through the lens myself but appear clear when I look through the viewfinder with my phone? Is my eyesight the problem or does something need to be cleaned/adjusted?
hi mate - i just recently got one cheap which is is really clean condition with the lens and viewfinder bud for some reason the shutter press, advance level and self timer are stuck and self timer is stuck down - fresh battery in the clean battery terminals seem to not make a difference. any help?
Maybe it's me but the ebay link seems to be the link for the owner to login and not a store. Kind of a static page to nowhere, is that what it should be? At least I can't get it to work at all. The online store and esty store links seem to work fine. Bess wishes! I have to apparently click on the odd name to get to the items, not intuitive to me, I would have thought clicking on the logo would do it.
Thank you for uploading this! I repaired my 35rc's stuck iso dial after watching this.

After cleaning, the edge of the door is the only seal I replaced and it's ok!
Very informative vidéo to clean up the rangefinder, thank you!

Have you scratched the paint off the body under the seals with the screwdrier on minute 11? Don't you repaint it after?
Does any of the internal moving parts need lubricating from time to time and if so what lub would you use?
@16:15 Do Not cut your materials over the opened camera with the back of the lens exposed!
Hello great video, regarding the light seals we can buy them with 1mm thickness to 3mm, which one would you recommend for the Olympus 35 DC ?
great job

I have the exact same problems with one I just bought. Did you ever find a solution?
Not sure if it’s the same, but I have an ED that hadn’t been used for a while that did this. I had to jiggle the self timer to get it to unstick.
