Stand up when you’re doing tricky stuff like water crossing. It’s counter intuitive, but standing on the pegs lowers the centre of gravity giving more stability, sitting in the seat raises the centre of gravity and decreases stability, even if you feel lower, you aren’t.
@nockianlifter661 Yep all over that. In these specific cases I think it was that the rear wheel fell on the wrong side of ruts hidden under the water. Appreciate the advice though!
Slime, the slime is very slippery on those rocks under the water, you'll never get me standing when the rocks are covered in slime. Other rivers, other times yes, but only if the terrain is actually challenging.
