This technique works, even if specks of dust are causing the air gap, providing the specks are sufficiently small, where the specks kind of 'gel' into the screen and become unnoticeable.

I wouldn’t do that on mac because the screen and body of the mac almost sit flush together and something like that on the screen will crack at some point in time
I didn't have any problem applying it. No air bubbles. I made sure to use the sticker to get any random dust off, and pulled slowly. I did back up twice to get bubbles off as I went along. I used a credit card but didn't cover it with the cloth. No idea why that's in the video because there's a top layer on the screen protector? I'm applying this to my touch screen so i don't get the glass messed up. I'm not an artist so i don't really care about any single color difference that others are mentioning. Screen looks fine to me. 🤷♀️
cloth is preferred to avoid some serious damage if scratched too hard, you know some people who scratch the card without cloth so hard that even if there exists outer layer,damage is still done on the inner layer
I really want to know if these screen protectors are damaging as I've seen some reviews and videos from other people getting their screen cracked out while removing this thin protector. Anyone knows?
@@brianjaviercarreon3275 yeah, this is exactly the one I've seen. Could be due to something else, maybe the screen was in bad conditions before it? Truth is, I've asked Apple directly and they told me "they can't recommend an additional layer as screen protector" but when I asked if the one they sell to protect data privacy would do for a screen protector, they said it would. And, as you know, it costs around 60-70$. So, chances are we will never know for sure lol. Maybe just better to keep the screen clean and avoid possible falls/scratches as much as possible.

A second thing is, if you're gonna have a Mac, applying a screen protector will neutralize the original qualities, brightness and contrast of the screen. I tried myself before watching that video and there was a difference. So maybe the protector is not as good an idea as carefully removing the dust after shutting the Mac down.
@@muchocuentoynada it's doesn't take a genius to figure out that he already removed the polarising layer, and then what he has put over the screen, is not a screen protector but polarising film, so when he removes it it looks as though the images are peeling off with the screen, it's called common sense, should use it sometime.
The packet didn't have installation like this but had guide stickers that's I didn't use, no bubbles however but maybe 1 or 2 dust specs under screen because I had to lift it to reapply 😫, at least I have another one to use a year or 2 down the line. Il be fine for now with it.

Hi there! So how's your new laptop?? I also bought a new one in July!! Looking for ant-glare protections now as cleaning the screen i found two tiny dents luckily outside the screen line..but still, think is better to get a protector also being touch-screen my lcd..
theres no logic in installing a screen protector on a laptop. laptops rarely fall and if they do, its unlikely the screen is getting hit, and even if the screen does get hit, this protector cant protect it. so basically laptop screen protectors just reduce the image quality and add extra reflectivity and glare, which isnt good for outdoor viewing. basically the laptop now becomes a mirror.
@@saevus9682 and accidentally leaving something on the board, like a stem of weed🙄😛 and then you close the lid and have a barely noticeable mark on the screen don't ask me how the stem got there 🙄 there, it's not like I roll on the laptop, but it could've of been much worse and actually broke the screen or if you left an SD card or something, and as you mentioned the keyboard dude ✌️

Also that microfiber cloth is awful, leaves fibers all around. Use a real one, like the kind you clean glasses with.
