What happens if you put the brown tape in the place the blue tape is intended to go?

The real problem isn't when there is only air bubbles. Once even the single particle of dust gets in (while you're peeling more off especially when your hands are full), that's the worst part because you would need to get rid of those pieces in order to get rid of the air bubble surrounding the dust.

It is hard to tell front from back. The ssd isn't an m.2 ssd so front and back isn't obvious based on plug connection. Should have flipped the chip over and back. Once the sticky stuff is on, you don't want to remove it.

actually you don't have to cool your ssd, cooling it will decrease it's lifespan
