You follow the K.I.S.S formula (Keep it short and Simple ) and upto the point.. here you may point for the forex markets... but it seems Nifty50 (Indian stock market) follows this pattern well...keep it up the good work.. Informative-- but the trail stop buy order, according to the graphic, is actually $+50, the price started rising at $270 not $300 and you bought at 320 which is $50 above $270.

Hands down best broker I've come across. Specifically the mobile app is ace. Only nitpick I got is the amount of drawings on my charts, which is max 10 lines/whatever. Make it 25 and this app+broker scores 100% in my book.

Hi, John. If you think the price of an instrument will go up, you can buy in order to sell later on. This is called a long position. However, if you think the price will go down, you can sell first and then buy after some time. This is called a short position.
So now, what really is the difference between open long and short position scenarios?

Trading 212 is a very good beginners platform, however why on earth do you close the bitcoin market on the weekend? Also you don't have instruments such as Tencent + trading fees are a pain. Its a shame because its the most simple and easy to use platform on the market, but for the reasons above, I use plus500.

At 3:00: So the stop limit for an open short (sell) position should only be placed when you want to buy back some stock at a cheap price? Is this correct? So...first you sell the stock and then you later open an order to buy but with with a trailing stop? Is this correct?

If your security reaches $704 dollars (as it did in the long position), with a trailing stop at $20, wouldn't that sale execute at $684 instead of $680? Same thing with the open short position. It reached a price of $270. Shouldn't the buy order have triggered at $290 instead of $320? I just want to make sure I wasn't missing something.
Yes you are correct. The graphic and the narrative don't match. The stock did indeed rise to to $704 but she said "suppose the stock rose to $700".
