I am a farm kid from eastern Iowa. My daddy said I had to go to college and I did. I have missed our little farm ever since so I love watching your videos. You do things the same way we did all those years ago. Separating milk, making lard, processing meat and so on. Watching you guys is a real joy for me and I never miss your videos as you post them. Thank you so much for allowing me to follow along. I also love the way Megan cooks!! Just like home....
I agree Megan love your cooking
Those pine needles will be good put around onions or garlic, or anything you have planted to protect it, because if you’re like where I’m at in TN. There’s gonna be a cold snap after some things get planted. I’ve planted a lot of things in root pouches this year, I’ll move them in the garden once I’m sure. Last year, I had to rd plant so many things.
Same here your videos take me back to my childhood. I would go to the garden and set out of the way and watch my granddaddy ploy with his mule. Maggie reminds me of me. ❤❤
When you're done with college you make your own life decisions.
It really blows me away watching your entire family working together … it is so uncommon anymore. Your children will be well rounded as adults.
Good morning! I always hate to see a tree go down , but sometimes that’s just the way it goes! seeing y’all working together as a family makes my heart happy! God bless y’all 😊
ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE WAY ALL OF YOU WORK TOGETHER TO GET SOMETHING DONE!!!!!! GREAT JOB ON THE TREE REMOVAL!!!!!! LOVE SEEING THE KIDS HELPING YOU!!!!
💚Megan you can literally watch your garden grow 👋.
He was right about that lean. Have a beautiful day y’all. 🌲
I love seeing the family working together. You guys do it so well, even the family puppy tried to help ! 😊. Love your videos. Brings a peaceful feeling to me !
Always a good day to hang with Andy and Megan
Seeing that tractor leaning on three wheels, had me on the edge of my seat……..enjoyed watching….
Scared me to the edge of my seat!! ❤
Great to see everyone "chipping" in to help, even Tiger. Hope Andy's dad had a great birthday. Ya'll are what family is really all about.
Although I live on the west coast, you all make me feel like I could come over and borrow a cup of sugar. I like that. Blessings
Perfect landing of the tree. Having that large chipper is such a blessing. We love to see families working together. Hope for the future.
❤❤❤ so glad I found your channel... love watching your children helping
I’m amazed at how everyone is hands on deck 😮 you don’t see that anymore..Simple life, HAPPY home! Love it!!!
Just found you a few weeks ago; just subscribed.. I truly enjoy watching your videos!! I’m not a country girl; city girl through and through.. lol however; I have helped (being forced) as a young youth with haying an small farm duties… I disliked it tremendously… however, it showed me at a young age how much farmers and farm life work so so hard and I have the utmost respect for those whom do it.. thank you for sharing your life! Hard work builds character and you are teaching your children something that is lost in our society today… again THANK YOU and I look forward to more great videos! And that part where you were pushing the limbs in the chipper truly scared the daylights out of me… you husband towards the end…. Phew… nailed bitter .. haha
Nice job family!! Love watching those kids learning farm work.
Seeing your family work together will never get old. #thefutureisfamily
So happy to see your channel having a boost in subscribers. I learn so much from watching you two. What a wonderful family ❤
Thank you so much!
I bought a rural property last year and took down about six trees that were shading the garden and shading new apple trees I had planted. I built a wind break with them instead of chipping them. More light makes a world of difference. Great video! Thank you!
Hello Andy & Megan
Andy did a mighty fine job cutting that big tree down👍
I take it he’s cut down trees before!
Saved you guys thousands of dollars
Tree guys are so expensive here in Tampa ..
Thanks for another great video😁
You guys are so interesting. You show so many different things. Your two beautiful children are growing like weeds!!! I imagine you notice it every day. They make your hearts happy I know. Love your videos thanks.
Megan and Andy, the tree had to go because it shaded your garden. It was nice to see everyone working together to get rid of the branches. Andy, I am happy for you because the tractor had enough power to turn over the cover crop. Blessings to all of you.
The seed starting tray from Amazon, the bottom can hold water, so you can water from the bottom
"Mark my word on that". The equivalent of "hold my beer" 😂😂😂 or in my case, it's the occasional "hold my Coke". Ha! Great job!
hahaha
What a job! Good to see a family working together. God bless!
Great job falling that tree! I'd think Andy was a logger watching his technique. Y'all don't know how nervous you made me watching you put those smaller limbs in the shredder 😮, glad everything went well. It sure opened up the garden space & im thinking there will be a beautiful flower and shrub garden for Meagan to enjoy from the kitchen window.
Ive cut a tree or two in my life haha, putting the limbs in the chipper looked worse than it is, the chipper part is way up in there
That's one big Christmas Tree ☺️☕️ Great job cutting it down
So glad I found your chanel, enjoy watching all your daily activities especially because I was raised on farm ..my daddy was a share crop tobacco farmer until I was about 13 year old then he did public work for a while and retired from Dep of corrections as security guard in Harnett County Nc...I am 82 and still miss living on farm...❤❤❤
Oh Megan! I’m with you, hate to see that tractor on 3 wheels! My heart was beating watching it😮
I just enjoy watching you channel ❤
Happy belated birthday! I hope yall had a good time. The gardens are coming together nicely. God bless you ALL.
Nnooooooooooooo...I LOVE WHITE PINE❤😂😂😂😂
The pine mulch is good for blueberries 🫐
That was a productive day! Good teamwork! 😊
Nice job Andy!! In your heart I see a logger!!!😅😅😅
Late husband had a John Deere 50, and a 60, did alot of farming with those old tractors. A cousin of mone completely remodeled an old Model B, and drives it in parades. Thank you for sharing, God bless
I love the way your kids always help! ❤ ~ Rhonda
Lil Maggie's pockets full of Eggs ❤
Hope you get to read this message,,,mix wood ashes in the soil where you plant your cabbage plants it will keep the bugs off your cabbage plants
Enjoyed the the tree cutting. I have cut a lot of trees in my day. My potatoes are planted and about 2 to 6 inches high now. But we are close to Panama city, Florida. Got to go ,enjoy your Dad birthday party. God bless
Awesome job. Great work. Have a blessed day
Great team work on the tree removal! It actually looks really good now! I enjoy watching your videos! God Bless you all🎉🙌🙌❤️🫶
♥️✝️🇺🇸 looking forward to see what y’all do where y’all took down that tree
Love that y'all work so good together. This country needs more "True Grit" in their gut. Im so impressed with the old kubota, the new one did great as well 😂 Stay safe, and God bless
A job well done , team work , o , yes , stay safe enjoy !

Oh no... cutting the tree.. you will miss it..
But you will benefit and use the word for something.. good fire wood
My wife and I absolutely love your place. We have a small homestead here on oklahoma and hope to someday have a setup like youins got.
It's refreshing to see real people doing for themselves as much as possible.
Keep em coming, we will keep watching and learning.
God bless your family
thank you
That's living....Making Memories.
From 🇷🇺 with ❤!
Well, that was an awesome video. Very relaxing. Great music. Love everyone helping. Please tell your Pops Happy belated Birthday 🎂!! Hope he had a great one!!!
Thanks for sharing. Best wishes, D
Always good to see a family working together.
Great job felling that big old shade tree Andy, then everyone got really busy and you all cleaned it up really good and quick too. That will do wonders for your garden area. You'll have a good spot for your planned project too that will be so nice. That Kubota pulled it's weight today too and made a permanent place on your farm. You all did an awesome job around there together and then going to PaPa's Birthday Party really made a fine day for everyone. Thanks for taking us along. Fred.
thank you!
Happy birthday to your dad 🎂🎈🎉🎊
Sending a happy birthday to Andy’s dad!
Another good video. Thank you.❤️
That little tractor pulled that chisel plow good.
You are so blessed to have all of that equipment!❤❤
its took many many years to get it all
I REALLY ENJOY WATCHING THESE VIDS
❤can’t wait to see how your area looks where the tree was. I’m sure it will be great. Hope Poppa had a great birthday!
I am new to your channel and I have to say that your channel is the first time I've ever ' subscribed ' to a channel on the You Tube platform. I am impressed with your channel, your family and your homesteading lifestyle, down to earth farm life. I personally have 10 acres and a few animals with lots of gardening and wouldn't have it any other way. Keep the videos coming. 👍
well thank you so much!!!!
Should have seen me, raising up trying catch tractor when Andy was tipping!!😂😂😂
Happy birthday to your dad
That was fun to watch. I hope ya"ll never change even if you get a million subscribers. 🥰
Thanks for the video I enjoyed it
That's one big tree. Good job a ndy. Everyone helping clean up. Love seeing y'all work together. From the bootheel of Missouri.
Love your family!
Ya'll do things my grandpa, and my dad did...especially the tractors. A tractor is like a Cadillac to a farm boy. I used to milk the family milk cows...i loved that job! Lived my cows. Thanks for the videos.
The potato field is looking lovely. That soil is beautiful
Wow that tree was huge!!
Pack a quart jar with pine needles and cover with vinegar. Let sit for a month. Homemade Pinesol! Add a bit to a soapy bucket.
Happy birthday to your dad. Love the video, thank you
Pine’s and cedars are not good for gardeners. I’m not 100% sure why but I cut down everything but the hardwood around my garden and the past two years have been great for us!! You will be able to tell a difference this year. Put up shade cloth if everything gets too hot 🥵. Love y’all’s videos
That poor tree, I would kill for those white pine needles……the needles are and excellent source of vitamin C……I make tea, soda and Lysol, PLUS it’s an excellent dewormer for the goats!!
Great video, thanx for sharing 😊. Have a blessed day.
We have lots of other pines around, yes I make tea and cleaner with them!
@@TrueGritAppalachianWays we only have 2 white pines on our farm.
It looks great!!!
Andy my friend you are a very blessed man, they don't make women like Megan anymore in the world we live in today
oh trust me I know! thank you
Your blueberries would LOVE that pine mulch!
good idea
Great video and thank you both for such refreshing content!
Good job on that tree ,tell your daddy Happy Birthday for me and many more !!!!🎂🎂🎉🎉👋👋❤️
Thank you, I will
We had to take a big oak down last year infront of my garden. Lots of sun now. You'll be glad and you can plant a dogwood or two for shade. 👍
Guys, use a small branch to push that stuff in the chipper, you're giving me anxiety. 😂
haha it looks worse than it was, the chipper part is way back in there
HAPPY BRTHDAY TO DAD :)
Good job...wishing spring would get here in NE Pennsylvania so I could "get started"...still snowing here past couple of days after 1 day of "spring" last week. Too much mud/snow to be safe on the slopes. Love your channel. Thanks for letting me "come along".
New to your channel, and I’ve enjoyed all the ones I’ve watched so far! Thanks for sharing y’all adventures! Love seeing the kids join in working too! Bringing up right for sure!
One thing I’d like to say is, do your selves a favor and wear hearing protection when using chipper, and saw! Or you’ll be saying Huh, A lot later in life! Lol
haha aint no hope for me I already say HUH all the time!
@@TrueGritAppalachianWays LOL!
I bet it smelled great doing that job.😂😂😂
I kept telling Andy it smells like Christmas, haha!
Meagan I'm like you....tractor tilting and 2 tires not on the ground gives me a heart attack lol
That was one big tree 🌲.
Man that tree had the limbs. I don’t mind cutting the tree it’s the mess it leaves behind that I hate. I have a woodland mills pto chipper also it works great but still a lot of work.
You're correct this tree needed to go, not only was it shading your garden it was robbing your water and nutrients from your garden.
Enjoyed the tree cutting part of this episode. I will be 'pineing" for another episode of "True grit".
I enjoy y’all so much!
Meg, he was giving me a heart attack too!!! Great job, Andy! Happy birthday to your Dad! Can't wait to see what y'all do with the new space!
Old pine gone! Two yrs ago had 12 removed down my driveway, 54 yrs old. Enjoyed this video. 🌲
That was quite a job, y'all did a great, looks awesome.
Pine mulch is very acidic
You're right about trees that are in people's yards whether it's a pine or whether it's a fur people prune them and then they get knots all through them and they're hardly even any good for firewood because they're so hard to split even with a splitter too many knots and too many twists in it And guaranteed you're going to find some nails in it
yep!
Y'all made pretty quick work on that tree!
You’ll be surprised at how fast that stump will rot out of the ground
Tiger is such a hoot, she's like your third child the way she is literally always right with ya. What a sweetheart!😍
yes I call her my other child
Enjoyed watching!
I am glad!
no fair; you've got a pto driven wood chipper.
