      Just curious mate what has changed that people are happy with crappy plastic interiors that rattle over bumpier roads these days?. There was a time people cared about interior quality and not just some silly big entertainment system that keeps your eyes off the road. I wish things would go back to basics where the cars were well made and the interiors were high quality instead of plastic fantastic. Hyundai used better plastics 5 years ago than they do today. They need to outlaw oversize entertainment screens whilst driving too.

      How do you stand the cheapo plastics they keep using in the interiors though? They also squeak and rattle more and more as the car ages. Just not put together properly yet these days they charge more and more premium pricing for less quality overall just to get a faster engine. Reviewers are even glossing over the fact that as a brand new car they have squeaks and rattles on poorer roads. This just indicates a combination of too firm a ride and poor build quality of components. If these were still $20,000 cars then fair enough.

      @@DEVILTAZ35 I’ve noticed zero rattle, even when blasting music. In terms of cheap plastic, you don’t notice em if ur not looking for em lol. Majority of the interior looks and feels very high quality. Honestly could say it feels like I’m sitting in an Audi. If ur shaming the car purely on the Kia branding then you should get past that, this is a really good car.

    Recently bought a 2019 GT sedan. Can't believe how much you get for the money, even with the crazy covid-tax used car prices. The gearbox isn't great, all windows should be automatic, and it should lock when you walk away. Other than these issues (gearbox being by far the biggest fault and really not good enough), this car is amazing. It even looks great, just not in profile. Close to perfect.

      2019 owner here - remove the center resonator (there's two catalytic convertors, a resonator then a huge muffler). Removing the resonator gives a lot more note to the exhaust without making it much louder inside the cabin and zero drone - except during cold-starts, which are less neighbour-friendly.

      Owner to a brand new cerato GT if you want an exhaust a little louder without deleting anything (potentially voiding warranty and/or ur cars worth less) get a genuine Kia sports exhaust from the nearest Kia dealer, it’s a option for the cerato and its factory so it won’t void warranty and lower the cost of ur car in fact ur car will be worth a little more.

    what’s a mild-brake hold?

    • @PDriveTV
      @PDriveTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We wouldn't recommend doing a full brake-hold with a dual-clutch transmission as it can over-work the clutches. But compared with simply flooring it we found quicker times by building power on the brake pedal only for a second, to initially engage the clutches, and then letting it go. Hope that makes sense :)

    • @caominh2874
      @caominh2874 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@caominh2874 Yes, launch control is different - it does not engage the clutches. This model does not feature a proper launch control system. Instead, it will try to engage the clutches straight away. Thus, it is not a good idea to hold it for too long.

    • @PDriveTV
      @PDriveTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@caominh2874 No, Porsche PDK (and most DSG VW/Audi in fact) allow a 'launch control' mechanism. In you car you should be able to press the brake hard, then hit the throttle and it will instantly climb revs, to around 4000rpm or more in some models (sometimes you need to be in sport mode etc). @PreFireXO that doesn’t mean anything beyond the marketing, it’s still a sports suspension vs the standard one on other grades. When will they give us a fast but comfortable car. I’d like good bump absorption but with the effortless merging and overtaking suited for highway driving.

    • @samirfakoua
      @samirfakoua 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Honestly speaking, the Australian backroads are a breeze to drive this thing through, not too firm in my opinion. However, I found inner western Sydney roads to be far worse and a little annoying to drive through. But given the state of some of those roads, it’s kinda expected with any car u drive in.
      Edit: I also found the car barely bottoms out and the wheels seem to take most of the harsher bumps (I do worry that I’ve damaged them sometimes when going over bad potholes I didn’t notice, but doesn’t translate too much to the driving experience), that’s a positive I guess?
