I've only been with it since the early 5.5 version (not to be confused with the CS 5.5 version!) when I stopped using Quantel's HAL Express and picked up AE. Still using it and still learning ...

and thats the reason why after effects is such a crap TODAY. it came from the mac platform and adobe is not capable to write a new sourcecode. so we could see that "thing" as a true 64bit application. its a shame and i wonder what it would became if kosa never sold after effects to adobe, but that is another story. anyway nice to see the "beginning".

Probably they used work stations from silicon graphics that were very advanced for that period
