In this kind of films there are some critical moments which resonate with us mostly. This is definitely a well written honest conversation with a sharp-witted idea.
I really love this scene, I mean I love the whole movie but this scene screams. I just wanted to share my story. It was 2020 when my boyfriend left me with no reason, he just want to break up and I chased him for like 2-3 months asking him to give me the reason why. We never have a closure (silence means closure i know) Year 2021 I think it's May or June, he reached out to me asking how am I doing and all. Then he said he wanted to talk to me. He wanted to talk in person to finally say he's sorry. He wanted to tell me the reason why we broke up. I was really mad, l felt unfair and to tell you the truth I relate so much to the male character in thia film. That time, I did myseld a great favor because I said that I'm busy and I don't have time to talk to him because of work. He didn't contact me again after that. Fast forward 2022, I accidentally met him when I visit my home in the province and I have no choice but to talk to him. I really played it cool,when he was tellinge his "reasons" why he called of our relationship, I was bracing myself not to cry or give any emotions. I wanted to cry that time not because of his reasons (excuses) I was crying because I'm angry and I just felf this whole thing is so unfair. It was like he drop all the guilt to my shoulder when he apologized. Jusf like the character in this film, it's my fault if I didn't listen to him or orgive him. But if I forgive him, what hapoened to the times that I've suffered because of him. I didn't give that selfisj man a bullet.
At the end, she also didn't get her mom approval and brute force the renovation, so she also lied about that. I think the point is that she says she can let go of objects, but she's holding onto all the feelings at the end.
It's super sad but worth watching. Because this film is not cheap. It's actually not a romance film. The first international trailer doesn't do this film justice. Jean is over romance. This film is just about how her past influences her life right now.
It's not dragging at all to me. This film is very natural. This scene is explained by her trauma from how her father abandons her like nothing happens. What comes around goes around. I hate Jean at first, but I know she gets used to it. She has been through pain from what her father has done.
