Not sure how anyone could justify Alabama or Ole Miss making the CFP - don't lose to Vandy, Oklahoma, Kentucky and we can talk. South Carolina has the best argument and they lost to both these teams

Someone is still upset about SC beating Bama in 2010. SC is inconsistent? I think you mean the only team out of the 3 (Ole M and Bama) that are consistently getting better!!!! Bad game to Ole Miss, lost by 2 "AT BAMA" havent lost since!!!!! No losses to unranked opponents!! Bama got skull drug by Oklahoma and Vandy.
Greg you are the best and telling the facts. I agree OSU did everything to not win, feel bad for the seniors. The excuses from the coaches is a joke, they ruined this high octane offense by running between the tackles because Ryan wants to prove he is tough rather than win. The parity in CFB is so close this year anyone in top 8 can win it all. God bless
yes, the OSU/Michigan game was an immense tragedy, almost like a packed 737 cart-wheeling into a fire ball on a slightly mismanaged gusting cross-wind landing. Its just a game, its just entertainment, lets keep things in perspective. Some things are very much life and death, but not football games, not the players, and not the coaches.
As an ND fan, I'm telling you now, SMU is legit! I would not want to face them as 10 or 11 seed. They're being slept on because of their name. They are every bit as good as Penn State and Indiana.
@@aasonmoll9764 lsu and Missouri aren’t good let’s be real. If South Carolina and bama played today, sc would beat them. And then they always beat Georgia
Some of the arguments about good wins are not aging well. Some of these teams with good wins have followed it up with bad losses. Alabama lost horribly to the 79th ranked team. They also lost to the 49th ranked team. Stop with saying that Alabama is a top 25 team.
@ which team do you play for? If you are talking about Alabama? Then no they wouldn’t beat them. They have shown twice already that they are not consistent. They lost to a good team also. Tennessee, Vanderbilt, were closer losses. Then they lost horribly to Oklahoma. Oklahoma showed that if you stop Milroe from gaining first downs with his legs they will lose. Plus that game was played in Alabama. Then you have the only game that Oklahoma won on the road. Oklahoma is a bad road team, but Alabama lost ugly at home against a team that couldn’t win a road game.
I think after 12 games the CFP should lock it down and go with a 12 team playoff, the conference championship games should not factor in because not all college teams are playing and with only few teams playing and risking a loss it becomes unfair to the teams that deserve to be rewarded for making it and not punished when all other teams sit at home without no worries of playing one more week without a worry of another loss on their record.
the commitee said they wont penalize ppl for losing in the conference championship. and if u dont wan the conference championships to matter then teams legit will have their 2nd 3rd string playing so they starters get rest. it makes no sense to not have conference champions get a reward for winning their conference. thts lik the nfl jus saying nah we know u won the Afc division first seed but u still havr to go on the road
What a stroke of genius by OSU by throwing that game. Already assured of a playoff spot, and by losing not having to play Oregon again, and the easiest path through the playoffs. They should give Ryan Day a huge contarct extension, absolutely beautiful!!!
Are you sure you know what inconsistency means? South Carolina has been continually getting better as a team. They have been trending upwards ever since Ole Miss. Their QB missed half the LSU game... Few people think LSU won the game by themselves. He was still injured as was Rocket Sanders against Ole Miss. They were a 3 TD underdog against Bama but Bama barely won at home! Since then they didn't lose once. Statistics show the consistency of the defense and the offense getting better
Hey Greg, great content! I am here to ask how you decided which helmets you have behind you? I assume the Bama helmet is from your days in Tuscaloosa but the others seem random to me.
McElroy is 100% spot on. He’s the first person I’ve heard mention Howard’s poor decision making. I was one of the few OSU alumni who called this game for UM. I did it because of Howard’s play. *Howard’s been flirting with a game like this all season long. So, I picked UM by a score due to a pick six. What I did NOT see coming, is the worst play-calling I’ve seen in my adult life.* That was SO bad, that it takes every nerve in my body to keep from wondering if it was done intentionally. All UM had to do was sit back, and allow OSU to self-destruct. I find it beyond stunning that there are ANY fans who think this OSU team can win, so much as, ONE playoff game (at home, or otherwise), let alone a natty. *And, here’s the kicker (NOOO pun intended)… Ross Bjork OSU’s AD came out “in strong support for Ryan Day” and said that Ryan Day will be Ohio State’s team for the foreseeable future…….let that sink in, OSU fans.* 🤮
I totally agree with you I'm an OSU fan and it seems like they gave this game to Michigan. This is the worst coaching game in this entire series. Why were there no screens called??? or throw the ball to the backs on wheel routes??? No passes down the field pass 20 yards. Relied on defense way to much instead of having specific plays on offense that Michigan hadnt seen on film all year. Michigan is in Ryan Days head and he coached like it. This game should have been a blowout like the year Dwayne Haskins threw for 5 touchdowns. I wonder WHO told OSU to throw this game because it reminds me of boxers throwing fights, like Tyson versus Jake Paul or did the bookies make a killing on this game.
I 1000% agree that this game is not because of Michigan but because of Ohio State. I don't think the defense was an issue. But the offense was just shocking. There is no excuse for that and the teaching team, Ryan Day and Chip Kelly, should be fired for that. I completely agree that this is a very good candidate for the worst game in OSU history. OSU will never had such a talent-gap against Michigan.
So did Ole Miss. they lost some of the starters. They aren’t full healthy and still dominated South Carolina. A win is win. A huge blowout win at Columbia. No excuse.
If you ever see this I think you're overlooking the changes to the clock rules, shorter games favor underdogs. How many games do you remember when a better team was losing towards the end of the 3rd quarter and ended up winning by 17, well now the games over sometime in the 3rd quarter.
The game of what-ifs for ole miss was hillarious. They lost those games for a reason and it wasn't a one off thing they lost 3 games to teams not named Georgia
Ole Miss 27, South Carolina 3. Ole Miss beat Georgia that beat Clemson 34-3 that South Carolina barely won. South Carolina and Alabama have a blowout loss. Ole Miss didn’t. 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
It's ridiculous to compare results from week one to the end of the season. Georgia played Clemson in their backyard. Besides the way Georgia struggled just 2 days ago... Is GT deserving to go to the playoffs? @@masonpalazzolo2387
I read Dan Lanning had said it was going to be like that as they brought the team together. That it would take Gabriel several games to get it together. He got it right around the Ohio State game. To that point they had not looked the part. But yeah. It’s funny watching people go “oh Alabama would crush that team” then comically getting crushed themselves. Inconsistency is going to be in college football going forward. Gone on the days when you have rosters together for 4 years. Coaching and emotional intelligence (dealing with personalities) are going to be big winners going forward. The people who can meld together NIL, Transfer Portal, Recruiting are going to win.
The biggest takeaway of this season is SOS absolutely matters. Oregon, PSU, Indiana all in bottom third of Big 10 SOS. Texas had the easiest SOS in SEC. Is it really any surprise they ended up with the fewest losses? Top 3 ACC teams never played each other and got to feed off subpar competition. Conference realignment has been good for competition but the conferences are so big now that the schedules can vary so widely. I’m a gator fan and the UF team Miami beat was not the same UF team that finished the season. New QB, new RB, defense didn’t really start gelling until Tenn game. Vastly different team that finished the year than started.
It's crazy to me how SC could potentially miss the playoffs while Clemson can make it by winning one game against a ranked opponent all year if they win their ACC championship. Clemson winning would also give SC an even stronger case and tbh I think they look the part. They have shown that even in a losing effort they can compete against the top teams. I say that as a Clemson fan. They are more deserving and the better team imo.
Certainly would be better than Alabama vs ND. People outside Alabama only watch sometimes to see if Alabama will lose. But even that is fading with Saban gone.
Also in the transfer portal now that you should mention later on are Miller Moss and Kaidon Salter. Would both be HUGE pickups in the portal for the respective schools that end up going out and getting them
Ohio State has lost 3. National championship games and two other semifinal games. But this is the worst loss in the rivalry in since 1996 . Kinda reminds of of Bama losing to Auburn in 2010
Thanks Greg!👏 I’m hoping this committee realizes that Bama is no longer being coached by Saban. If so, then Bama won’t make it to the playoffs. Also, I see this wave of inconsistency primarily due to the parity in competition & of course the NIL all across; & on the question of Miami making it?…I see them headed to either South Bend or v Penn St.
Why is everyone calling Southern Cal SC all of a sudden? I thought it was USC for years, now its just SC? I thought SC was South Carolina? Is South Carolina USC now?
@@boroblueyes trust me where im from USC = South Carolina but I understand the rest of the world refers to SOuthern Cal as USC. Just curious why this season I have seen more and more talking heads refer to Southern Cal as SC instead of USC.
If a defense gives up 13 points, seven of which came on a terrible INT that gave the other team the ball on its own 2-yard line, it was far, far from a bad performance. Every defense coach would take that going into a game.
I didn't hear you CREDIT yourself, Greg. When most could not see it, you said before the season started--"South Carolina could be 'sneaky good' '---you had a point !! ----- Cliffordii outside Atlanta , Georgia......."
I have an 8 team preseason parlay paying out $2500 plus. I need osu, oregon,Notre dame, Clemson, ole miss ,bama, Texas, Boise st..I think bama gets in but I see ole miss missing it😢
Rivalry games were diminished starting with the conference championship games and now the expanded playoffs. Each of the last 3 years OSU and Michigan would have played again in the conference championship game. Also Penn state is not Marylands rival
I love how the only people that we have ever heard use words like, “SEC caliber” or “big boy football”, are the SEC homers. How many guy like Jayden Daniels, or Joe Burrow transferred into the SEC in year one and killed it, or Texas A&M beating the top SEC team (Alabama), in their 1st year in the conference. You can stop with the SEC BS! Nobody is buying that anymore dude.
Burrow and Daniels would have killed it anywhere so why did they transfer to the SEC instead of Oregon or Ohio State? To compete for/win a championship. Also SEC BS? There are recruiting rankings, NFL picks, and national championships that prove otherwise so what is your counter argument besides being a "hater"?
@ bfd194 🤣 The SEC is getting obliterated on NIL And transfer portal. It’s awesome to see their cupboards are bare on player depth. Welcome to the future.
Greg, with all the fights over rivalry week and the fines being hand out, do you think they should take it out of the NIL collective incentives the players not to do that? The school fines are chump change.
Pay to play (this is not NIL) has ruined college football. Players were already compensated by a full ride to college with ALL the trimmings, facilities that are like self-contained high tech cities, trainers, tutors, special meals, etc. All that should habe been added was a monthly stipend of $1000 for spending money.
Not when the school and coaches make millions off their backs. If we capped the money they made, and pay them as professors, maybe. The NCAA’s greed is what did this to the sport.
I got a basketball scholorship back in 1968 and we had 15 dollars for laundry and excellent food and special dorm. That was mostly it but looking at sports now, it is so much more highly pushed than in my day, I lost interest in college basketball when players started going pro after one year. Now I'm sure all will be much worse with NIL money causing chaos to rosters
It’s funny how you say it has ruined football when if anything it’s prevented schools dominating for paying players under the table (SEC). Now every school has the ability to get players that would in the past only go to schools that would give them dufflebags of cash under the table.
@@ericlarson5398 For coaches, it has to be a negative and takes them away from what they do best, coaching. All talk show commentary has resorted to trying to fathom who gets what and why. NIL as its occurring now will ruin the game. Coaches can't count on anything anymore and are being subjected to the moodiness of players.
@ facts. 100% it’s taken away the cheating that has been allowed at certain schools and now allows every rich school to pay players. LSU, Alabama, Clemson, many places have more money than them, parity is here to stay and football will become a truly fair sport after a while. 5, 10, 15 years from now, don’t be surprised that the SEC drops down to earth when other fanbases start sending boatloads of cash to their teams.
Lazy take on SC as being inconsistent, ODU is the first game of the season and they won. It was Sellers first start. Ole Miss game, was only Seller's second complete game, he missed time to injury in Kentucky game, a half vs LSU and the whole Akron game. I get that SC has 3 losses and if they don't make the playoffs, I get it, but they are the only team in this bunch that is consistently getting better and doesn't have a lose to bad team... The were underdogs in the three games they lost.
no universe where bama deserves in. Ole miss deserves in more than bama. heres the way i see CFP: Oregon penn state ohio state indiana texas georgia tennessee SMU UNLV or Boise State Notre Dame B12 champ. there's your locks. theres your locks. one spot remains. these are the teams i think that should be in contention: 1. Clemson. Beat SMU and you're in, SMU should also still be in at 11-2. lose ACC championship and you're out. 2. Ole miss. great resume but 2 really bad losses. 3. Miami. I think Miami should be the 12th team over Bama, but im not mad at either pick considering miami doesnt have a big headliner win. there ya go. theres no debate.
Correct. Ole Miss is best three loss team because Ole Miss beat South Carolina and Georgia far better than Alabama did. It wasn’t even close. Alabama struggled them and won barely.
South Carolina fan here, my best guess would be Miami over any of the 3 9-3 SEC teams. The committee would rather leave all three out than have to pick one.
How? Conferences aren't the same, so no metric can equally judge all the same. Is a Purdue win as good as a State or FSU win? Is a Clempson win in the ACC weigh more for ACC teams then it does in the SEC? How will you fix this? Or you just a hater that thinks everything is rigged? BTW SOS clearly means nothing, just look at ND. They played FOUR G5 teams (1 was a loss), THREE teams with 2 or fewer wins. That's half their season already. Then throw in a bunch of .500ish teams and Texas 8&4. Indiana has ONE win (I believe) over a team that's over .500. The list keeps going if you actually look. The bias this year seems heavy, just for somebody else
@ yes you can, we know exactly how good every offense and defense in the country is! Use those actual ratings for points and yards on off/def and no subjective ranking data!! Did you play 2 top 20 offenses or 6? Did you play 8 top 50 offenses or 0? Now we can do that for your opponents as well and know exactly what the true sos data is! No rankings required
@@SurferRCWe do? Because everyone plays everyone? It's all subject. Take ND, for example. Their stats are super inflated from playing 4 g5 teams, 3 teams with 2 of fewer wins and a bunch of mid teams. Also a hand full of those games were against backup qbs. Or teams like Tenn who's offense was running wild on bad teams early on, then dropped off later in the season when they weren't playing ACC and cupcake games. What about Penn St? Fluffed numbers playing bad b1g teams, then ZERO offensive TDs against a good team. Then you have a team like Florida who has vastly improved since week 1. Should Miami get a bump for beating a worse version? With limited cross play, we don't actually know how good anyone is. Even opponent adjusted metrics isn't a true metric without more crossplay. Sadly I don't know a better way without limiting conference games and forcing more P4 OFC at least 1 from each for every team.
My prediction: Oregon beats Penn State, and as the only undefeated team and with three wins against other CFP teams, they are easy #1 Seed. PSU falls to #7 due to being runner up of the second best overall conference. Texas beats Georgia and cliches the #2 seed by winning the best overall conference. The committee can’t put 3-loss Georgia ahead of 1-loss Notre Dame, thus the Bulldogs get the #6 seed. SMU knocks off Clemson, securing ACC’s only bid and getting the #3 seed as the third highest ranked conference champion. Boise State beats UNLV, gets a #4 seed, but committee will set them up to fail in round 2. Arizona State beats Iowa State. And even though logic of “eye-test” would say they’d get the #12 seed, the committee doesn’t want Alabama to face Georgia in round 1, so the Big XII champ jumps to #11. Notre Dame gets the #5 seed as the team with the best record that didn’t win a conference. Indiana gets an at-large bid due to lack of teams more deserving. Ohio State and Tennessee both get at-large bids with Ohio State granted the home game due to more wins against other teams in the CFP. Alabama gets the nod over South Carolina due to head-to-head and slightly better overall SoS. Alabama also gets the nod over Ole Miss due to much better SoS and considering Ole Miss’s best wins were also Alabama’s best wins (Georgia and South Carolina). First two out: South Carolina and Ole Miss Next two out: BYU and Miami Thus we have this: #12 Alabama (9-3) at #5 Notre Dame (11-1), winner gets Boise State (12-1) in the Fiesta Bowl. #11 Arizona State (11-2) at #6 Georgia (10-3), winner gets SMU (12-1) in the Peach Bowl #10 Indiana (11-1) at #7 Penn State (11-2), winner gets Texas (12-1) in the Sugar Bowl #9 Tennessee (10-2) at #8 Ohio State (10-2), winner gets Oregon (13-0) in the Rose Bowl
I know a lot of people don't think Penn State's gonna do well against Oregon but being on a neutral field I think they Will do very well against Oregon if not win it as long as they defense step it up and shut down that offense which they will get first round they play well against teams just not Ohio State but they don't have that problem against Oregon so I think it will be a very good game hopefully with the Penn State win and then at least we won't have to hear that they didn't play anybody or beat anybody
Sooooo we going to ignore BYU but talk about Miami??? Just saying that if SMU wins the ACC and their only loss is to BYU, and if Arizona State wins the Big12 (one of BYUs only losses) then I think they should be part of the conversation I’ll admit Kansas was a bad loss but each of the losses were lost in the last minute of the game at a total 9pts
So penn state lost to Ohio state, Indiana lost to Ohio State, Indiana has not beat a currently ranked team, Penn state has beat currently ranked 23rd Illinois. So tell me why this results in Indiana being 10th and PSU being 3rd???
Ryan Day blamed Connor Stalions for the '21-22' losses... Ryan Day essentially blamed Kyle McCord in the '23 loss. I hope OSU fans don't fall for the bs of letting that coaching staff off the hook for the '24 loss. Bottom line is the coaching staff allowed their egos to cost them that game. I'm not a Buckeye fan but I really feel for that fanbase. Day is a great coach, but he's also an idiot.
Potential outcome (playoff seeding): 1. Oregon (13-0) - BIG10 champ (auto in) 2. Texas (12-1) - SEC champ (auto in) 3. ASU or ISU (11-2) - Big12 champ (auto in) 4. Boise or UNLV (11-2) - G5 champ (auto in) 5. Notre Dame (12-1) - Locked in 6. Penn State (11-2) - BIG10 R-up (in) 7. Georgia (10-3) - SEC R-up (in) 8. Tennessee (10-2) - Locked in 9. Ohio State (10-2) - Locked in 10. Indiana (11-1) - Locked in 11. SMU (11-2) *current #8 - ACC R-up (in) 12. Clemson (10-3) - ACC champ (auto in) The committee stated that they won’t punish teams in championship games for playing/potentially losing an extra game if they are currently in the playoffs, but we shall see. I think SEC and BIG10 runner-ups are safe. I also think SMU is safe if they lose since they are currently a playoff team at #8. If SMU wins, that opens up the #11 seed for Miami, Bama, and South Carolina.
So you're saying if SMU loses, they are still safe? I'm kinda lost if that's so why is Tennessee at #8? My thinking is if SMU loses, I'm not sure they are because If Clemson is the automatic, then only one of two things could happen SMU maybe gets in because of better record or Miami gets in SMU out, or Tennessee is out and the ACC gets 3 bids but I don't think it will happen
After watching Georgia Tech at Georgia and Texas at Texas A&M, how much do you think A&M is kicking themselves for letting Haynes King out of College Station?
The transfer portal has ruined college football. The coaches have no control over their teams. Players just decide on their own if they feel like working. Nobody is committed to their teammates; to their brand. It’s just pure selfishness and having more talent than your opponent doesn’t mean what it used to. If you’re about to argue that this is a good thing, be honest about why you feel that way. Was your team routinely ending year after year with 3 or 4 losses and now, by way of chaos, you suddenly have a chance at a playoff appearance?
There is NO elite team in CFB this year. Oregon should have lost to Wisconsin. So the whole elite talk is silly. Also using ODU game...first game. SoCal beat LSU first game and media hyped them up. They've been fairly mediocre. First game doesn't tell much and the seasons have proven that.
So Michigan has these two really big guys at DT.. stopping their running game.. what does the OSU have.. two big guys stopping the run as well? NOPE, why not? Why is it that OSU can not stop the run as Michigan does between the tackles.. is the the DL or LB's which are not doing the job? Is Michigans OL that much better then that of OSU? What gives? Is it perhaps schemes?
The seeding will determine the fairness of this championship. I guarantee they protect yalls champions from our sec supremacy absolutely as long as possible. We gon get ya again but put 12 sec teams vs the next best 12 teams in the country and sec teams will win 9 of 12 easy but over half of those games played 100 times each. We are better!
@@gdo3510He's say parity because the level of play has decreased. There have been HC out there that have stated the same thing. Watching the inconsistency in games week to week, I'd agree. Not sure if this is the parity we wanted or not, but it's what we're getting.

Unessacarry comparison shsharishan! Black bla bla…. Let’s have sec big 10 rematch instead of putting the conferences head to head. Sec destroys you all unless they take our opportunity to prove it. Ohio state and Indiana both have less than a 50% chance of having the same record as Ga if they played the same schedule as the Dawgs. Ga beat Texas bad and threw four int. Yall don’t want to play sec schedule, you couldn’t if you tried.
100% I’m so tired of hearing strength of schedule when all of the SEC continued to lose to bad teams. I don’t care if they beat a “good team” that lost 3 games to 500 teams. Stop considering preseason ranking when all of the sec is completely over ranked
So reward teams for playing a weak schedule, avoiding competition, avoid injuries, avoid over exerting your players. ND should be #1. Who cares they played FOUR G5 teams (one was loss), 3 teams with 2 or fewer wins, a bunch of .500ish teams, a handful of backup QBs, and Texas 8&4. Who cares this schedule is disgusting. They only have 1 loss and their stats are AMAZING! Penn St & Indiana played one quality team and lost. Top 4 team because they couldn't do something that a bad Michigan could. Yeah who cares who you played as long as they are so bad you can't lose and your starters get plenty of rest. Sound advice can't wait for teams to only schedule easy OFC games and all conferences to b1g their schedule. That'll be fun to watch
@@JustN0pe3 Difficult to follow. However, I get the gist of what you are saying... Schedules are set years in advance. You cant fault a team for spanking everyone on their schedule because those teams so happened to not be the best teams in that particular year. Simple as that. Greg you are the best and telling the facts. I agree OSU did everything to not win, feel bad for the seniors. So u wanna tell me that we wouldnt beat smu if we played them rn

Delusional when it comes to bama
What a stroke of genius by OSU by throwing that game. Already assured of a playoff spot, and by losing not having to play Oregon again, and the easiest path through the playoffs. They should give Ryan Day a huge contarct extension, absolutely beautiful!!!
As a Notre Dame fan, I honestly would like to see Notre Dame play against SMU.
lol hope you remember this comment. I think it would be a great game.
Sellers and Sanders were hurt against LSU and Ole Miss. They’ve been by far the most consistent team for the last six weeks
Not only that, but then refs was awful in the lsu sc game

Inconsistency is the title of the 2024 season. Even the unbeaten Oregon started the season with some very questionable performances.
I read Dan Lanning had said it was going to be like that as they brought the team together. That it would take

All talk show commentary has resorted to trying to fathom who gets what and why. there's your locks. theres your locks. one spot remains. these are the teams i think that should be in contention:

Correct. Ole Miss is best three loss team because Ole Miss beat South Carolina and Georgia far better than Alabama did. It wasn’t even close. Alabama struggled them and won barely.
Alabama beat LSU. Ole miss lost
South Carolina fan here, my best guess would be Miami over any of the 3 9-3 SEC teams. The committee would rather leave all three out than have to pick one.
ND Hater....whatever
Texas and Tenn have the best defenses in the country
And Tenn’s receivers have major size advantage against most corners.
oregons d is also very good
We need a legit sos metric! Get the bias rankings out of it!

My prediction:
Oregon beats Penn State, and as the only undefeated team and with three wins against other CFP teams, they are easy #1 Seed.
First two out: South Carolina and Ole Miss
Next two out: BYU and Miami
Thus we have this:
#12 Alabama (9-3) at #5 Notre Dame (11-1), winner gets Boise State (12-1) in the Fiesta Bowl.
#11 Arizona State (11-2) at #6 Georgia (10-3), winner gets SMU (12-1) in the Peach Bowl
#10 Indiana (11-1) at #7 Penn State (11-2), winner gets Texas (12-1) in the Sugar Bowl
#9 Tennessee (10-2) at #8 Ohio State (10-2), winner gets Oregon (13-0) in the Rose Bowl
Just saying that if SMU wins the ACC and their only loss is to BYU, and if Arizona State wins the Big12 (one of BYUs only losses) then I think they should be part of the conversation
I’ll admit Kansas was a bad loss but each of the losses were lost in the last minute of the game at a total 9pts
So penn state lost to Ohio state, Indiana lost to Ohio State, Indiana has not beat a currently ranked team, Penn state has beat currently ranked 23rd Illinois. So tell me why this results in Indiana being 10th and PSU being 3rd???
Penn state’s recruiting is up there with anybody.
Coaching is sub par.

I think the reason nobody has talked about Texas’s defense is bc UGA put up 30 on them at home..
@zachvaughn298 not hard when Texas every play of the first half is handing the ball over to Georgia at the Texas 30
Potential outcome (playoff seeding):
1. Oregon (13-0) - BIG10 champ (auto in)
2. Texas (12-1) - SEC champ (auto in)
3. ASU or ISU (11-2) - Big12 champ (auto in)
4. Boise or UNLV (11-2) - G5 champ (auto in)
5. Notre Dame (12-1) - Locked in
6. Penn State (11-2) - BIG10 R-up (in)
7. Georgia (10-3) - SEC R-up (in)
8. Tennessee (10-2) - Locked in
9. Ohio State (10-2) - Locked in
10. Indiana (11-1) - Locked in
11. SMU (11-2) *current #8 - ACC R-up (in)
12. Clemson (10-3) - ACC champ (auto in)
The committee stated that they won’t punish teams in championship games for playing/potentially losing an extra game if they are currently in the playoffs, but we shall see. I think SEC and BIG10 runner-ups are safe. I also think SMU is safe if they lose since they are currently a playoff team at #8. If SMU wins, that opens up the #11 seed for Miami, Bama, and South Carolina.
They said that? What if Penn state loses by 50 pts in the championship to Oregon? How can that not factor in?
Clemson has been pretty beatable all along so not sure how'd they justify SMU 11-2 with weak schedule and no big wins.
They NEVER said they wouldn't punish a team in the CCG. They talked in circles around it calling it something like a valuable measuring point.
If UNLV wins, they’re not going to be in the #4 spot. They’ll be in the #12 and the ACC champ will get one of the bye spots.
But Bama beat Mercer. The Big 10 and ACC teams didn’t even play Mercer. Roll Tide! 😊
After watching Georgia Tech at Georgia and Texas at Texas A&M, how much do you think A&M is kicking themselves for letting Haynes King out of College Station?
They aren't a triple option team... so not a lot. Completely different system
Georgia Tech has not ran the triple option since 2016.
Watching the aggies go full aggie on fourth down was really enjoyable. Same old little brother.
Michigan better than people are given them credit for
There is NO elite team in CFB this year. Oregon should have lost to Wisconsin. So the whole elite talk is silly.
Also using ODU game...first game. SoCal beat LSU first game and media hyped them up. They've been fairly mediocre. First game doesn't tell much and the seasons have proven that.
Stop.. Giving credit to Oregons success to SEC players is cheap. California has the top HS talent. They get CA talent
You gota look at teams in the month of November above head to head early in the year. Alabama looks pretty weak last month, they should be out
The seeding will determine the fairness of this championship. I guarantee they protect yalls champions from our sec supremacy absolutely as long as possible. We gon get ya again but put 12 sec teams vs the next best 12 teams in the country and sec teams will win 9 of 12 easy but over half of those games played 100 times each. We are better!
This year is truly bad. And not sure it's not because of NIL. I expect we'll see more lackluster play in the years to come.
This year has been great. Lots more parity it seems with no team(s) that are clearly head and shoulders above the rest.
@@gdo3510He's say parity because the level of play has decreased. There have been HC out there that have stated the same thing. Watching the inconsistency in games week to week, I'd agree. Not sure if this is the parity we wanted or not, but it's what we're getting.
GO BLUE Baby! I'm so tired and bored of utterly dominating a weak, overrated, unstable, sad little Buckeye team year in and year out. The "20+ point favorites"
fell flat yet again..Shocking🤣😂🤣. Our WORST TEAM IN YEARS with a below-average QB, and decimated by the previous draft and injuries
MANHANDLED and DOMINATED a National Championship contending, #2 in the country, Buckeye team. WE, in a rebuilding year,
played the single toughest schedule in country this year, facing FOUR TOP TEN TEAMS including every one of the top three. We became hardened by playing better and smarter
teams than old OSU in that incredible stretch!
Too bad that the bias, crazy, media that they have on their side couldn't have played the game for them..🤣😂🤣They might've actually put up a fight..🤣
So many foolish "experts" out there like McElroy just don't get it. Over the last several years WE HAVE THOUGHORLY BROKEN OHIO STATE DOWN TO THEIR CORE.
THEY COULDN'T WIN IF WE HANDED THEM THE GAME (WHICH WE BASICALLY DID).
They are simply NOT PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY CAPABLE OF WINNING THIS GAME now, and in the foreseeable future, regardless of what anyone thinks or says.
@TheGManForever 31-12.
Michigan defense was great.
No Alabama, Ole Miss, and South Carolina are 9-3.
When other teams keep losing they have a chance
@Detriuch Which teams have a chance? If you are 10-2 then you have chance or 12-1
Alabama is getting in. They always do.
Greg. I think you need a little more rest, my guy. You sound burned out. Enjoy your night.
Chip Kelly sux is why Ohio State lost
NIL has changed everything the great teams don't have great bench play cause all the great team players who aren't playing go into the transfer portal to get paid and play for non traditional teams in Iowa state Syracuse ole miss smu Vanderbilt you can go into the portal and BUY a quarterback
I’ll stick with the On3 folks. This guy stinks..but no disrespect it’s not about you.. it’s just that the other guys are better.
The argument over who beat the most ranked teams is BS since the SEC gets favored and has half their conference tossed in the top 25
However, you can fault schools for losing to trash teams like what happened to Ole Miss, Alabama, etc. If a team beats two "good schools" and loses to two bad schools, then what does that prove?
@@JustN0pe3 no team is “avoiding” anything. Miami has no say in who they play. They beat a FL team that beat ole Miss and LSU. They beat a Louisville team that crushed a kentucky team who beat ole Miss and lost to GA by a point. Miami has the better record and therefore deserves it. If you just wanna watch SEC football then watch the SEC championship and crown the winner your national champion
@@Ryan-vq5urMr football math guy. I'm not even going into this with you. You clearly just want to hate and have no idea how the sport works. Your mental gymnastics to go from Miami beating Louisville to Ole Miss beating Georgia is just kind of funny if that's how you truly think things work. If you want to be mad at the SEC for whatever reason go ahead. Other teams get similar treatments, you're just not told to be upset about them, so you aren't.
It would be the newborn’s only loss, so yes it would be the worst loss in their lifetime? Did you mean an elderly person’s lifetime? That would make sense. May have misspoke, but that was confusing lol
Can ESPN get Greg a better mic? Sounds like he is recording through my 2008 microwave
Can they just go ahead and actually get a better sports journalist 🤔🤷seems a better idea to me
Lol
Jalen Milroe is the Goodwill versiin of Jalen Hurts. He is not a QB. He cannot read, go through progressions and pass accurately which is the definitiin of a QB. Milroe cant leave fast enough. The Milroe experiment should have been over at halftime vs Tennessee.
He also wins them games with his legs. Obviously there is no one behind him better
