Great job thats a nice looking knife. I live up in Northern idaho and it's too bad you are a 10 hr drive from my place it'd be nice to swing some hammers together. Keep up the good work.
your work is awesome Liam i was thinking about stabilizing my own wood as well i have a friend that does alot of tree work and can get me burls and all sorts of cool woods do you have any recomendations on videos to learn from thanks Mark
I have no regrets! The touch screen controller would be nice though. Mine is 220 and it has been great. I’m sure 120 would work, just take longer to heat up. A good oven is a complete game changer
Was that second container you put knife in the same as first when you quenched it or was that something different? And we have the same belt grinder. I love their stuff. I just ordered some more accessories from them
I should’ve said something to explain all that ha. First I quenched the blade in warm AAA quench oil, then when it was mostly cooled(~100°f) I put it into a 400 degree low temp salt bath for the first temper. I also did a second temper in the oven. The reason for the salt is after quenching the heat treat oven is way too hot, and takes a long time to cool down. The salt let’s me temper right away
Perfect job !!!!!
I'm from Athens Greece. This is my hobby 🙂

I love your Evenheat kiln - any regrets on the purchase? Thinking of buying the KH 418 (120V) for my small workshop.
