    Composite bows affects camel archers as well. That would also take care of camel archers.

    Abasyd should have a tc upgrade that upgrade extra TC range to 8 and garrison space to 10 (basically reverting patch change, but just for abbasyd)

    Idea to buff Abbasids:
    Abbasid should get a new civ bonus for stronger TCs. So that they are a little bit more like the old TCs. They are so reliant on those and what else do they have in feudal?
    So more garrison space, (10?) tankier (30%?) and maybe more range (+1?).
    I think Abbasid could be the TC civilization/the villager boom civ.
    This would fit their fantasy.
    Some aggressive feudal buffs (locked behind military wing) like beasty said would be nice aswell. But i think tcs should be special for abbasid. No faction relies as much on those as them.

      Feudal composite bows would be so great aswell!
      (But i feel we need some general, not wing specific, buffs)

    Composite bows and infantry hp swap is such a good idea, I always wondered why it was castle it doesn't really make sense.

    I still can’t decide which civ is my favorite/best fit for me…I like to be aggressive early and end games quickly before they build a huge army. I want to try Mongols but I’m nervous that they don’t have any walls for defense. Loving aoe4 though, great game and always fun to play! By the way Beasty, as a newer viewer to your channel you make great content to help all of us! Thank you!

    Abbasid always feels like a tempo behind even at lower levels, it's very reactive and cannot take initiative because it's slow. The most important thing with it is knowing exactly what the opponent is cooking at all times to be best prepared for it. If you go dark for a little bit then you can fall behind fast and it snowballs from there. English is pretty hard for Abbasid because they can mount a lot of pressure in feudal and just go castle while you are massing units and are in no place to go castle age. The fact you need more resources spent on military against English than they need to pressure you makes it pretty difficult to transition into castle age.

    • @garry527
      @garry527 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My only way to counter this is to fast castle.
      Abbasid has nothing able to deal with Long bow in Fed age.

    • @somebody700
      @somebody700 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@garry527 It isn't impossible, you can deal with them with horsemen and archers combo, and if he goes 2 TC then you are no longer a tempo behind and can go 3TC if you need to. If he goes all in, your 2nd TC will make up for it. Yes it's quite rough, but I noticed against English it's best to go culture wing so you can age up much faster.

    @claudioorlandini6456 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I agree. Should lower the cost and creation time of the camel archer. Only then would it be profitable as a counter-unit of the feudal man of arms vs english, hre, dragon order and palace guard sushi. Or move compound bows to feudal age It would be another great idea for deal to feudal man at arms. Making only one of these two changes, Abbasid would stop being militarily weak in feudal against civs that have heavy infrantry

  • @MyValki
    @MyValki 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    You want Feudal power? Return camel aura to Feudal. At release it really encouraged you to experiment with mixed unit feudal aggression, it didn't work and it was moved to Imperial. Instead try buffing it and maybe feudal aggression is possible.
    Also I would like the golden age mechanic to be compressed into a dark age & feudal thing. Make tier-1 golden age before feudal a powerful opening, but inevitably hit tier 3 golden in early castle age without trying.
    The biggest and best buff Abbasid ever had was the stutter step buff for camel archers. Early feudal they can deal with anything except horsemen, even longbowmen, there is a narrow window of opportunity where you can establish critical mass with good micro and keep it.

  • @razzTK

    My proposal would be making all castle age technologies from the landmark available at feudal age with still having the same cost. than you wouldn't be in such a rush to reach castle. this would also buff every wing choice. aging up to castle later won't give you new things for your first wing but nothing changes for your second wing.

  • @Awesomeman1987
    @Awesomeman1987 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I always thought composite bows should be in feudal. Most times when you get to castle you are likely going to want to move to crossbows. I actually wish composite bows gave crossbowman an attack speed buff aswell.

  • @MrAtaguas

    I think they should just give a new golden age 2 to Abbasid at 20 buildings where they get the old berry buff of 500 berries per bush. Then golden age 3 of 15% increased research speed and golden age 4 of 20% production speed but at 50 buildings instead of 60. I think that'll buff abbasid enough to help then survive since they played pretty good before the berry nerf imo. To prevent their late game from becoming broken though I think composite bow should be moved back to Imperial because it is far too strong for early castle when you can go from barely able to kill a knight before age up to suddenly being able to one shot elephants in a second lol

    Camel archers cost too much food in feudal, making them 120/120 would be good or nerfing them and reducing cost

    • @stysner4580
      @stysner4580 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yeah especially if you're trying to get another TC up you need so much stone and wood that camel arches are just not worth it. They're not good enough to harass with and to defend you'd just as well have slower but way cheaper units. I kinda think the proper way to give Abbasid a feudal boost is something like extra armor within the influence of the House of Wisdom so you can park your archers there and have a slight defenders' advantage.

    This isn't super on topic but how do you counter a civ with access to MAA in feudal with a civ that doesn't have anything to counter MAA in feudal? Such as OoTD, English, HRE, etc. At least with knights you can build spears but how do you counter MAA? Thanks

    • @rahilanees2343
      @rahilanees2343 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly even a Knight civ will struggle again OoTD in that MAA feudal, purely because its so easy to mix in spears and at that higher mass its just too difficult for your archers to pick off the spears before the MAA jump on them. The only counter I've found so far is heavy food denial and counter raiding.
      I can only speak for conq1 conq2 level however

  • @stysner4580

    It's a bit weird when he talks about Abbasid not being bad at lower levels when it literally has the worst civ winrates below diamond (negative against all other civs) and gets severely better the higher you get after that. I'm fully aware I'm lower league and I suck, getting better doesn't depend on the civ and it doesn't hugely impact my effective Elo, but it's just true that playing Abbasid well is harder then playing an early harass/rush civ. It's like this in all RTS games; in lower leagues is far easier being the attacker than the defender.

    • @stysner4580
      @stysner4580 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jaydenholborn8731When I get to 4 rax Ghulam on 2 TC my winrate skyrockets. My problem is that 50% of my matches is against English longbow/spearmen rushes where I can't make a single macro or micro mistake while multitasking, where all English has to do is a 1 minute build into very simple macro and micro.
      Any tips on beating rushes like that? I mostly abandon gold after age-up and an upgrade (I mostly go preservation of knowledge since military wing doesn't help that much against English), tower my wood and stone and try to get to 2TC. But eventually the contain becomes overwhelming and I can't produce an army great enough to overpower them in time, they always either go ham or keep the contain and keepdrop with the landmark.
