HI Amy. I am a fellow pediatric OT. Saw you at the OT online side hustle this weekend. Love your videos.

Hello... My son is 22 month old he has no issues with texture of food and clothes but he shakes head and tap on the things on floor, table etc and while tapping he just puts pressure on the table while making "oo" face(mouth) or open his hands and fists. its seems like stimming to me.. I have checked him with developmental pediatrics and he is free from asd but he only does this behavior which looks really odd. I just cant understand what is it is it a sensory issue or related to spd? Or what?? Or is it normal? Please guide

I appreciate you presenting a question, but it is difficult to understand what you are describing without seeing it. Another option could be that he is just amusing himself.

Hello, my son is 18moths. We have not been able to sleep since he was born. Now that he’s a little older he seeks for his hands and feet to be compressed. He’s very healthy kid, eats very well his doctor isn’t much help. I need help. I would like to sleep through the night

Hello. I’m sorry to hear you are having trouble sleeping. I cannot provide medical advice here, but I can say that an occupational therapist can address sleep concerns. You can ask as a doctor for a referral to see an OT for help. I’m not sure if that it something you have considered.
