I've been using this case on my s22 for a year and I love it. No more need for a screen protector so the fingerprint reader works. No more cheek mutes, pocket calls etc. Handles a drop well. It's still nice and slim. There is no problem with the binding. It's the only accessory I ordered with my s23. Just a long term users opinion. A year later my case still looks and works as new.
I'm happy that your experience has been positive. But my own experience with these cases tells me you are insane not to put a screen protector on it. Seriously. Bat shit crazy, you are asking for screen damage. 🤪
I've used wallet cases on the last few samsung phones I've owned (S6 Edge, Note 10 Plus, and now S23 Ultra). The Ultra here can be used as a kickstand, it just takes some getting use to, and can be easily jostled. It can also be used 1 handed without issue, again just takes some getting use to as it is a different phone case design. The full coverage is nice, but I would have preferred a cut out for the buttons, since as noted the cases overlapping buttons don't have any clickyness to them, and have to be pressed quite firmly to get a response. I also personally do not like the S view cutout on the front of the wallet, I'd prefer full screen coverage, with the old Note 10 Plus style LED notifications on the case.
I had this case for my S 22. I hated it at first. Had the same concern as you for the edge that hold front and back together. I have to say, after a year of use, it never got weak or started to rip. Color has distorted a bit but other then that, still like new. On the other points that u don't like, I do agree, if those things are important to you, don't buy it. But after I got use to mine. Loved it and now I have one on my S 23
Bruh, here's the deal. We need to take the best of all cases and combine them into the ultimate case. For me it's the otterbox defender series for total protection, but they are really missing an opportunity to create the greatest case of sll time if they'd just offer a sliding cover for the back camera like I see on other cases that just serve as a back cover.
It’s lasted really well for me since the S23 Ultra released I can’t count how many times I dropped my phone and this thing saved it any damage to the binding is because of the drops it has held up just fine no tears etc..
That's always been my gripe with these cases too. When you drop it the case flaps open and the heavier half... aka your phone itself, will fall first. I've had more cracked screens from S View cases than other regular cases. The hinge is very thin and the whole thing feels very flimsy. I agree definitely over priced and not as functional as it should/could be.
Nice review. 3:50 the biggest problem for me is that the buttons are not only not touch sensitive but on top of that we must press them hard. It's a huge problem. I'm looking for a way to remove the plastic protection in order to press the buttons more easily.
I used this type of case on ancient note 4. I can tell you it is like magic. Case cover flops around but if you drop phone it never lands on the screen. Sometimes it lands closed, sometimes half open, but screen stays safe anyway.
I have it. Mine started developing a crease already, and it kinda started to rip off right where the "hinge" and the part that covers the screen is connected at the bottom. In fact, I think this may be a common issue because seems like you also have that. It's just SLIGHTLY noticeable in the video in some parts like 0:25.
When the note 4 came out, if I remember correctly it was from spigen, a magnetic clip sold separately for this type of case. But I can't find it anymore. Probably it wasn't successful cause it was 20€ for a small magnet.
Please have been my sentiments exactly, I have never been more disappointed with a phone case than this one, I don't know why in the world they change their design, like you said you can't even use it as a kickstand and that was important to me. I don't want a wallet I want to kickstand and I want the S-View as it was meant to be with the kickstand case. Shame on Samsung hopefully they figured out this was a mistake
The case is very hard and seems difficult to remove the case. Can one please tell me how to remove the case from the phone without damaging the phone itself.
Wait, the place you see the screen through is completely open, not having any protection like previous Clear View cases? Man, Samsung has gone back in quality on these cases. S10 had a full clear cover, S21 Ultra has like 1/3rd from top to bottom still fully protected, and this an even smaller see through area with no protection on that hole at all.
I had the s10 full clear case and now have the s23 ultras tbh I like the cut out better than the clear one cause the clear would cover the cameras when taking rear view pictures so u have to awkrwardly hold the case open while taking pics, but the cut out is perfectly in place so it doesnt affect picture taking.
I prefer a wallet case, so when I brought the S23 I went for this case. Two thing I found REALLY anoying... Firstly, as mentioned, the buttons... I found that the case constantly made the buttons hard to use, in some cases the buttons wouldn't work at all... Secondly.. The front window... When I brought the case I assumed it was a clear plastic window... My fault, should have checked first... However... If you use a screen protector on the S23 the fingure print sensor at the bottem of the screen becomes REALLY noticable... For me annoyingly so... SO... If you dont use a screen protector, with this case the screen is exposed through the hole in the case... You have to CONSTANTLY clean the screen at the area around the hole, otherwise there is a "dirty section" at the top right part of your screen... Personally.. I found this REALLY anoying... For $50, the case lasted a week before I changed it... Total waste of money really...
I took for granted it Could be used as a kick stand. I will buy another one on wish for 10usd, probably better LOL. Luckily I got this one for half price
I don't understand why the "flopping" of the cover bothers people. I got the case essentially for free, and I like it. I would be so much more annoyed by having to mess with something to get the case open. However, I'm not a huge fan of the responsiveness of the power and volume buttons, so I'm exploring my options.
If you only have 4% battery left on a smartphone then the person doesn't have as much knowledge of smartphones as they claim! The battery should be kept at between 20-80% capacity! Then it lives longer and the capacity is not lost so quickly. SO after 2 years you still have 99%. If you charge your battery far less than 10% and always charge it to 100%, you can have less than 80% capacity after 1 year! So don't tell me in the video that you would be a technology blogger if you didn't do such simple things!
I love this case for my s20+. I just wanted to know what changed for my new phone. When is the front going to "open" by itself? Do you not hold your phone in your hand? I dont understand in what case it will bother you that it opens by itself. It never bothered me, my phone is either flat on a table, in my hand or in my pocket! What are you doing with your phone?????
I'm glad I watched this review before selecting this as part of the trade-in accessories for this phone. Not having anything to hold the case closed is a real dealbreaker! I can't imagine why Samsung thought that not having anything to hold the case closed was not an important feature.
Don't worth more than 10 eur. It's like cheap chinese cover. Feeling in a hand is awful. Samsung best cover was Smart LED cover for S20 series. Samsung, give us LED cover for S23 like was for S20, please!

I was wondering about that, do you have scratches in the corner cut out?
No scratches in the cutout. That said I'm careful not to put my phone in the same pocket as my car keys. Lesson learned
Totally agree, for my lifestyle a brilliant case.
I'm happy that your experience has been positive. But my own experience with these cases tells me you are insane not to put a screen protector on it. Seriously. Bat shit crazy, you are asking for screen damage. 🤪
@@rd6416No need for screen protectors for every day non- aggressive use. The glass provided is sturdy enough.
Its a great case mate, wont get any creases. Had the official S4 case same style never a crease, so never say don't buy it because it's great
Glad you made it work!

I also got this case an I completely agree. It's flimsy and the "floppy" cover are deal breakers.

I'd like a grip clear matte case with individual camera cutouts 🤤
It’s lasted really well for me since the S23 Ultra released I can’t count how many times I dropped my phone and this thing saved it any damage to the binding is because of the drops it has held up just fine no tears etc..

Just received my case today. Don't buy one! You cannot press the side buttons at all!!
When the note 4 came out, if I remember correctly it was from spigen, a magnetic clip sold separately for this type of case. But I can't find it anymore. Probably it wasn't successful cause it was 20€ for a small magnet.
Wow for a magnet...Yeah guessing it wasnt

I have this case and my AOD worked the first day or two now it doesn't but when i open the case it lights up....any suggestions?
My case stopped working from 2 days ago, as it no longer shows the mini screen when I close the case.
I bought a tiny little magnet and glued it on the cover edge and side edge of the phone. All good
You made it work for you...Nice!
Do you have a picture of how it looks?
Please share a Picture. Does it interfear with the screen or te S-pen?
that's still unacceptable for such an expensive case
The case is very hard and seems difficult to remove the case. Can one please tell me how to remove the case from the phone without damaging the phone itself.

100 pros about the case mentioned. 1 con (it won't stay close IF you hold it right side up). I don't get it.

Does it consumes battery?
No, if anything it saves battery
I have it on my s23ultra and I've never experienced an issue that bugged me. A magnet would be cool but it isn't really needed. 9/10
Glad it works for you👍🏿
I was absolutely furious after I bought this. Ridiculous price for this garbage.
Buying genuine samsung wallet case is a must for me, I bought them since early generations.
I have this case and I like it, it was only £30 anyway.
I hope they will bring back old s-view cover style like the S20FE.
I took for granted it Could be used as a kick stand. I will buy another one on wish for 10usd, probably better LOL. Luckily I got this one for half price
I like wallet cases but will skip this one. The flap....
Flap flap🤣🤣
Thanks for sharing this ! I almost went for this but after watching this YOU SAVED ME. Also the ONE CARD only
Glad I could help
Disappointing but I appreciate the honest review
I try... Appreciate you watching!

It will be great if the case can use as a stand
So fussy this reviewer,if the flipping open worries him just stick an elastic band on it.😂😂😂

I use mine as a kickstand.
Glad you got it to work for you!
Thanks for watching
use with screen guard
Well, this is my fav case.
Safety first ++++.
The quality is awesome.
But it is hard to use with one hand.
Glad it works for you 👍🏿
This is the most useless case but i always buy this with my ultra because man, this look so cool.
If you still have the case and would like to sell it, lmk
Sorry already sold it
Thanks for sharing. I would have been disappointed.
Glad I could help

Complete oversight!
I should have watched this video first before buying 😢

Saw this video. Ordered case after video. Thanks.
Hope it works for you 👍🏿
Nope one card max
It s great. I like mine. Expensive though.
Glad it works for you
@@vdoestech thank you ❤
Even if it was 10 dollars i would've bought that
I'm not a fan either, but I had a $100 credit on pre-order so technically it was free.
Are you going to use it?
Forget Privacy 😂😂😂
Bye brother I want this
Thanks so much 🙏
Rubber band keep it close.
Great free case
سامسونج 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for watching😎
Perfect for me.
Good review. well done
Thanks for watching!
i got it free to get the s23 ultra 1tb as cheap as possible, gave me like 60£ discount or something, i saved money adding it to my cart
The true review..❤ Good job bruh
Appreciate you watching👊🏿
The only thing it needs is a magnet 🧲 to keep it closed, I get the complaints, but I like the case.
Nice, glad it works for you!
Do you have a picture of what it looks like/how you did it?
Cannot use any magnet as this will effect the compass, etc
