I’m a 54 year old British woman with no ties to the US however I love listening to these tales of heroism and patriotism. (Love Shawn Ryan too). I’m a humanist. I’m rooting for good over evil and my heart goes out to these men who had nothing but noble intentions. To watch our governments treat it and them )and our countries and fellow citizens) like valueless pawns infuriates me.
Julian keep up the great work. Your intelligence and authenticity is astounding. Keep digging up the truth - I’m here for it xxx

Been there suffered that. You have legal recourse if you can but my suggestion from the heart... Record. Record messages to your son that he may fall back on later. Don't talk crap about his mom, just focus on letting him know how much you love and miss him.
I fought for custody in a place where as soon as you got off the elevator at the courthouse the whole floor smelled of pootietang. Even my lawyer told me it was a losing battle. Regardless, I wanted my son to know I tried. Now that he is thirty he understands and we have a distant yet loving and respectful relationship. My prayers to you and yours. God Bless 🙏🏼

When people like you do interviews with veterans it gives them an outlet to speak and feel free in doing it. In that relaxed environment it helps veterans to open up about their experiences that the world should know about. These men fought to the death to not only save their lives, but to get rid of the evil in the world so we can live free like we do. Cool shit bro! Damn guys, these two episodes have been....I can't quite find the right words... But these have been the greatest episodes I've ever listened to. Mr. Hall, WOW! There is no way I can remotely explain how grateful I am for ALL you have done for me AND for the entire WORLD! I am completely certain that as a result of you being on this earth, you have made our civilization a better place to live. It's only due to people like you that I can sit here in my back yard and enjoy my evening here in America. I am just speechless at the moment. This isn't the only podcast I listen to either. I have listened to dozens and dozens of others' stories on Sean Ryan, Mike Ritland, The Fat Electrician, The Antihero Podcast, Jeremiah Ramsey, etc. and I've listened to all of the "famous" operators' stories. I've laughed and cried listening to these men and for me, you top everyone as being the most stand-up guy out of all I've listened to. I seriously have love, admiration and appreciation for many of the vets I've listened to. If the United States could pick one guy to stand as an example of what America is, or wishes it was, you are that example. Just everything about you. I know you have and do deal with the negative effects of all you have done for us and I am so deeply sorry for that. I prey that God is providing you with tools to mitigate them and mostly prey that He removes any guilt that you may feel from your service. You mentioned how nervous you were before the show and I was just dumbfounded hearing that. The way you told all that you did, I thought you must have been on a dozen other podcasts before this one. I've heard other guys stories and could tell they were a bit nervous. Eddie Gallagher was one of those. I listened to a podcast that was one of his first, maybe first I don't recall, and I thought he was kind of an arrogant ass. While listening to numerous other podcasts he was on much later, I realized that he wasn't arrogant in his early episode, he was just giving short direct answers to things because he was so damn nervous. I can relate! YOU!, I felt like I was there because of how you explained things so matter of factly and so descriptively. I thought you were calm as a cucumber.
I'm sorry this is getting so long and I'm not doing a great job of explaining myself. I'm not, trying, to say all of this because of your "incredible combat stories", which they were, but it is YOU that stands out so much in this interview. You come across as one of the most fair, self aware, stand-up, incredible roll model, loving, honest and all around great person. That's a shit sentence, but it's the best I can do right now. I'm fully aware that you have been a dick and sometimes are still a dick, but overall I can't think of a better person to aspire to and lookup to than you. Thank you sir for all you've done, all you do and being an incredible example of what a human being should be. I prey to God that some of, or most, of the physical and mental negative effects that you acquired from fighting for people like me are getting less and less as time goes on. I'll quit rambling on and just say Thank You so much! I am honored to be able to live in a country that has men such as you representing and protecting us. God speed sir!

Huge fan of the channel! I love how you try and bring on all sides of a conversation! It would be interesting if you brought on Dr. James Lindsay (New Discourses) podcast to talk about what is really going on within our (America and other western countries) society right now. He does a great job of breaking down what is really going on without making it partisan. I think it would be great to have someone like you to interview him because of your style and the way you try and understand things. One of his podcasts he did about 6 months ago about "classic liberalism" breaks some if the stuff we are seeing down well. Also, another one about "shareholder (or stakeholder) capitalism." Just a thought.

1:50:31 I grew up in North Texas. My father was a sheriff of a big Texas County. This is just normal Texas culture. I got to shoot my first full auto whenever I was eight, and a 50 caliber When I was 10. All my friends grew up the same way. My wife and I are doing the same thing. I traveled around the world internationally during my career so I understand that the Texas culture is pretty unique. But, it’s just like going to Germany and getting surprised that kids drink beer with their families when they have lunch or dinner.

I'm not even a veteran but by far my biggest pet peeve is other American's who lack the appreciation of the country to which they were lucky enough to be born in, in which the odds of that were highly stacked against us btw, and also the lack of respect towards service members who risk paying the ultimate price to protect our country and way of life and without a second thought will run towards the danger to protect even the individuals who have no respect for them or their country. With regards to being a free and independant thinking individual as well as accross a majority swath of other metrics, America is by far the best country to be alive in at the current moment. If an American chooses to relocate to anywhere else in the world as a citizen, their lives will have to give up some aspect of what makes being an American so fuckin great.
In my oppinion I think it largely is due to a failure of the public education system, as they fail to drive through to students the advantages of being an American and the extreme gravity of those advantages as well as not exploring other cultures worldwide and how those systems all in their own unique ways impinge on certain aspects of American "God" given freedoms and how those freedoms are not given by "God" (as they would be given universally worldwide) but given by our government, military, beliefs, and virtues.
Some people think that you have to experience the military to be able to grasp the value of s soldiers sacrifices and though sometimes i feel that may be largely true, it's not totally true and I'll stand testament to that.
