    Thanks for documenting this, i have also tested my body for higher altitudes on this trail only, and i followed the same trail as yours without worrying about stream.
    I also had vomit at ~5500m, with no breathing issues, no headache. I was very fresh at that time, but decided to not go further as i was hiking alone and thought what will i do if it becomes severe as i was not carrying any medication for it.
    It was easy for me to decide not to go further as i was not there to climb Yunam, i was just trying to test my body on higher altitudes.
    And moreover, i had a very good sleep in Bharatpur Tent Colony before hiking and not at all feeling that altitude, but the night after my hike in Bharatpur Tent Colony was very uncomfortable, i vomitted two more times at night, and next morning i just headed towards manali, and started feeling much better after Darcha. And till Manali i was completely fine and feeling great.
    Thanks Manav, for helping future trekkers.
    PS : I have met Pratap on Rani Sui trail, so it was great to see him in the video also.

      It was an intelligent call bro. We should always listen to our body. I wish you get to go to Mount Yunam soon and reach the summit full of energy. :) Thanks a lot for sharing your experience. It will definitely help fellow trekkers NOT to take unnecessary risk. :)

I would suggest you try out some incredible trails and treks in lesser known valleys in Kullu district like Lug valley, Garsa valley, Sainj valley, Tirthan valley, Banjar valley, Fojal valley, Upper Kullu etc. There are some incredible crossover treks and hikes to mountain tops which of course are not yet documented and only locals know about them.

    Manav - just one question. When your buddy was feeling sick right from the start of the trek in those treacherous regions how do you differentiate between AMS and an upset tummy. Cause for me it definitely looked like initial signs of AMS and it would be always advisable to hike down asap in that case. In your experience whats the best way to take this call ?

    • @Creedaz
      @Creedaz  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I shared the same with Prathap on the slope. I told him that in my opinion you should go down from 5100 meter itself but if you feel okay you can continue.
      He had symptoms due to bad stomach. He felt quite better after vomiting. He did get some symptoms of mild-AMS but since we were fast we were able to hike up quickly and come back down.

      @@Creedaz Glad to know man. In recent past I have come across some very experienced people losing their life due to AMS cause they couldn't get help at right time. Thats why anytime I see someone pushing themselves, I feel that these places are definitely not a place to test waters.
