Johnny used to come by New Life Lodge when I was in rehab in 1989 and sing this for us. It meant a lot to me. And I have never thanked him. For the Grace of God, Ive been clean and sober since 08-03-1989.

No way is it the best. Elvis p was and is the best.
      Then whilley nelson
Elvis was the most played. During the 70s and even now. I just happened to look up always on my mind trying to find who wrote it I think Willie Nelson. But Nice Guys popped up I never heard their version. But I heard other people's versions just singing them sound better than these guys I hear sound better than these guys when I do the song. I'm just saying I do a lot of Elvis. But I love Willie's version as well

@@raywhite4190 You're right! But if George Michael had sung it. It would be the best version.

@@stefanhuang5307 man now I know you're smoking some.. George Michael was born the pop singer. Joanna Michaels add good songs daddy said. But are you certain songs that an artist can sound fantastic. Always on my mind is a country song. And I was probably was a great country singer and a great rock and roll singer and a three octave voice vocalist. Meaning not sure if you know what that means, his voice can do whatever an instrument basically can do. Singing different notes. Seeing in lower Keys, when the music in a different key. He can change his voice in the middle of each key and sound great. That's why some people take he was auto-tuned. But it was proven that Elvis Presley was much better than an auto tutor basically. Example. Auto tone is when you're being recorded naked Jacob voice and to meet too anyway they want to to make you sound Perfection like they did with Taylor Swift. And how you can tell that, when someone sings Live and and how they sang a song. Now I don't know if you know what I'm talkin about with Taylor Swift you might even like Taylor Swift I don't know. Like Taylor Swift when she would say live she would sound horrible oh, and I ain't the only one that will say so calm her voice will crack oh, her voice would sound like his off-key,. And other issues.. but when you hear the same song been recording it sounds totally different, cleaner smoother. Nah like Elvis Presley when he recorded the song it sounds good, and great. But when he's on stage he sounds a hundred percent better. And that's been proven and said many times.. and that is because Elvis Presley is one-of-a-kind.. when I was present gets on stage he is a different person. That's why he moves and dances the way he does when he sings. He feeds off the crowd. His vocals are totally insane. And I even said it and some documentaries that I read about. Like his songs are performed live they play on the radio more than any artist in history. Because they sound extremely better according to the tabloids in articles. And even myself thanks the same thing. Another example. Go under Elvis Presley and look up my way. You want the recording version, listen to it. Then go under Elvis Presley live version, Webster are several. Either listen to the version in 1973, when it was telecasted around the world. And then you can even listen to his last days before he died in June in 1977 when he gained a little weight which they said he was very unhealthy. But his voice sounds better than ever especially on my way. The reason why I'm using that song karma is because it's a traditional song for Elvis Presley and it was his favorite song to sing. And a song like that you can hear his vocal range, compared to others that sang that song. George Michaels is a good singer but he's not a vocalist the difference. My favorite song by George Michaels is Careless Whisper. And the Christmas song that he sings.. I don't know if said George Michaels to be sarcastic or not, but George Michaels is good. Take care.

An easy search shows Elvis only wrote one song. His contracts gave him writing and or publishing credits on several songs.
Dolly Parton wanted Elvis to sing her big hit "I Will Always Love You", but the Colonel demanded a piece of the publishing rights. She refused and Elvis never recorded the song.
