    If there is such a thing as a Steam Punk Bar this is the bottle of Scotch that would be on the shelf with that label. Great stuff

    This is by far my favorite non-peated scotch whiskey.

    Stumbled on this vid from under Ralfy's Craigellachie vid - Your format is 10/10. Totally get how it smells heavy. +1 Sub from me! You're slayin it! Also big fan of this single malt.

    You sealed it for me with "heavier version of Aberfeldy." I love Aberfeldy 16 but always wondered what it'd taste like at a higher ABV. This one's next on the list.

      It is different but has some of the honey. It's not as sweet. :)

    Love this whisky. Very fruity with a "heavy" finish. But it's not sulfury in the sense that it would be offensive (gun powder or rubbery), like Macallan 🤮. I really appreciate the 46abv too. And I love everything about your reviews...some history, the bloopers at the end, your enthusiasm, and that your reviews are concise and to the point. Cheers from 🇨🇦🥃

      I second that. The sulphur plays well with the rest of the flavours. For whatever reason this is a value dram but the 17 and 23 are super expensive.

    This is such a great whisky. I also loved the Mortlach 12. You're doing a great job! :). Great detail, funny bloopers and tasting notes.

    I find Craigellachie is on the path from Tomatin to Benromach as far as standard strength whiskies go. They are all fine whiskies but as a flight they get more complex as you go from Tomatin 12 to Craigellachie 13 to Benromach 10 (and then of course you finish at Springbank 10.)

      Awesome, Jimmy. I'm excited to try Benromach! :)

    Is it really uncolored ? Not sure about that. Great video, great content.

      All the sources I found said it was not colored. :)

    Craigellachie 13 is smashing. It's got this almost 'wood polish' spice on the nose which I want to describe as 'resinous' or 'estery' but I am a newb and don't know if those are the correct terms.
    What do you mean by oily? I see a few reviews describing it as an oily one, but I don't know what that means. Interesting to know Aberfeldy is similar - I will have to revisit that one.

    • @whiskycentral
      @whiskycentral  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Raeth! Doesn't matter of you are a "newb" or not. Just say whatever you're getting and it will always be correct! 😊Tasting notes are personal. Also I would agree that resinous is maybe a better word to describe this whisky. I feel like it's the worm tub condensation that gives it this weight. Aberfeldy is only similar in the sense that there is honey in both drams but they don't have the same weight. Might like a Mortlach if you enjoy this. Kind of hard to recommend a similar dram. Haha

      @@whiskycentral I have had a sample of Wee Witchie and it's definitely on the same branch of the tree, though different enough to stand apart. It's definitely on my must-buy list
