Thanks for a great review of a travel backpack. Opens like a book, a must for any travel pack. Size is a tad bigger than personal item allowance for airlines.

Thanks for the review! Travel backpacks are a bit personal. Some people love a ton of organization. Some people have specific use cases (like photography). I prefer to use packing cubes, so I don't need much organization besides a laptop compartment. Just a suitcase on my back. After considering all the options from Peak Design, Osprey, Cotopaxi, Tortuga, Topo Designs, Aer, Minaal, Tom Bihn, Tracke, GoRuck etc., I chose the Standard Luggage backpack. It has some smart design features. OneBagTravels does a great review.

Great insights again! I'll check out the Standard Luggage backpack right now. This Korin bag that just flowed through kickstarter was awesome too. Long review but here goes:

Hi! So my question is whether it would fit a small cross carry purse in the front larger pocket. My travel purse is 10X8x2

Definitely. Like a Lulu or crossbody should fit in that pocket. Might have to force the zipper a little but you’ll be fine!

@@theocdtraveler oh this is GREAT news, thank you!!! I don’t carry much in that purse so it scrunches down really nicely, too. I really appreciate your help!

    Any outer water bottle holder?

Oddly enough it does not….I just asked my wife as this has turned into her preferred weekend bag. I will say this, if you look at my review for the Bange backpack that has a good zippered, waterproof, water bottle holder. The problem though is once it’s packed to capacity it’s almost impossible to wedge in a water bottle. It would be nice though if there was a mesh pocket for a bottle. Sorry, long answer to a short question!

have you taken it on any flights yet? I am going to use mine in a few weeks and was hoping to use as personal bag. I just won't over fill it.

Yes! On Frontier. Same personal size bs as Allegiant and Spirit and honestly they didn’t even give me a second look. Do exactly what you’re saying: don’t overpack it….wear it as a backpack and have both hands free when you scan your ticket in and you should be good to go!

@@theocdtraveler Thank you for responding! I am looking forward to using this bag for ease of travel.

@@melissafoley1481 I hope it all works out for you. If you get a chance let me know how it goes. I’m always overly paranoid about that kind of stuff but have pushed the envelope and never had an issue. Safe travels!
